My middle kid, Aly and my youngest, Jac, spent last week taking a rehair course with Lynn Hannings over Zoom and it was a fantastic time. They both successfully rehaired bows and I couldn’t be more proud and excited for them. Huge thanks to Lynn and Amanda for sharing your expertise and excellent stories.

George Rubino made this German bass bow in 2012. This weekend I got to replace the winding and do a rehair service on it for Denson Angulo, SLC bassist and U of U bass professor. Thank you, Denson for the opportunity. Go Utes!

Musicians, what's one important thing you can do for conservation? Take good care of your existing bows to reduce demand for threatened species!
With proper maintenance, regular rehairs, and care in handling, your bows could last for decades or even centuries.
