Today, we were excited to welcome the Lowe’s team to Dixie Technical College to celebrate our new partnership and look ahead to the opportunities it will create for our students and community.
This partnership comes at an exciting time as Dixie Tech begins putting our $930,000 Gable Grant from the Lowe’s Foundation to work expanding skilled trades education and training.
We look forward to working alongside both the Lowe’s Foundation and our local Lowe’s team to strengthen workforce education, support our students, and create more pathways to successful careers in Southern Utah.

Our Machining instructors, Briggs and Alfonso, recently visited the Gene Haas Workforce Training Center for an opportunity to learn from and collaborate with some of the best professionals in the industry.
During their visit, they explored new techniques, exchanged ideas, and gained valuable insight into the latest machining practices and technology. Experiences like this help our instructors stay connected to the industry and bring current, real-world knowledge directly back into the classroom.

Big news for the trades in Southern Utah!
Dixie Tech has been awarded a nearly $1 million Gable Grant from the Lowe's Foundation to expand our electrical, HVACR, and plumbing programs — one of only 10 colleges selected nationwide, and the only one in Utah.
