The Utah Tech Summer Band was great fun! Made up of current students, alumni, and future students, the band rehearsed briefly and then performed a morning concert at Vernon Worthen Park. The audience enjoyed music from movies like W***y Wonka and Captain America, popular tunes like Sweet Caroline, and traditional marches by John Philip Sousa. Thanks to all who journeyed to the park for a morning of enjoyable music by the UT Summer Band!

Alumni, current students, and prospective students, come join us for the Utah Tech Summer Band! 🎶 Come perform at the Vernon Worthen Park Bandstand on Saturday, July 18 at 9 AM. Rehearsal will be earlier that day in the Eccles Performing Arts Center Room 150. There will be ice cream afterwards! 🍦

As the sun set on the Danube, our Trailblazer musicians wrapped up an incredible multi-country European journey with a deep dive into the rich history of Budapest, Hungary!

Utah Tech Music students experienced the architectural wonders and remarkable organ of St. Stephen’s Basilica, visited the home of Franz Liszt, relaxed in the historic Széchenyi Thermal Baths, and enjoyed a traditional River Dinner Cruise with traditional music and dancing to cap off the experience. 🚢🎵

Experiences like these are exactly what it means to be a music student at Utah Tech—where active learning meets global citizenship.
