Henry Janke is out next student shout out!! 🤩🪡🥳

This year I (Henry Janke) was hired as a stitcher for the costume shop at Tuacahn amphitheatre.
My job is to do alterations on costumes, fix mistakes or damage, and help with costume builds.
When I don’t know how to complete an alteration or the notes aren’t specific enough, I’m able to ask my coworkers and/or my alterations lead, Rebekah Woodstock.
I’ve been able to learn a lot about sewing and clothing alteration, obviously, but I’ve also learned a lot about how a real and professional costume shop is run.
All in all, my work environment is fun, full of great and supportive people, and I really enjoy working here.

In the afternoons, students may opt into a collaborative build lab, allowing participants to work alongside professionals on scenic elements for an upcoming production.
