The Utah Tech Library offers much more than just books and magazines. From magazines and newspapers to DVD movies and CDs from your favorite artists, the library is home to a vast collection of academic and recreational materials. Students have access to audiobooks, documentaries, oral histories, maps, microforms, and much more in addition to over 110,000 books and ebooks at the library. The Utah Tech Library is home to a unique collection of course reserves, which are materials provided by instructors and departments for educational use by students. Typical reserve materials include textbooks, lecture notes, tests, student papers, models, tools, and other equipment that students can borrow for study. Depending on the material, course reserves may be checked out by students by the hour or for the day. Stop by the Circulation Desk to see what materials are currently in reserve!

Looking for a book in the library? The Utah Tech Library’s online catalog makes locating material in the library easier than ever. Students can search for specific material by entering its information into the search engine, or can even browse available materials by utilizing the power search engine. Need to get some work done online? The Holland Centennial Commons is home to over a hundred computer work stations available for student use. Computers can be found on the 1st, 2nd, 2M, and 3rd floors of the Utah Tech Library. Students can also use one of many printers to scan, copy, and print in both color and black and white. If you’re having trouble with your device, lab assistants are available during most hours of operation. You can even check out laptops for day-use from the Circulation Desk!

Students, have you ever wondered how to check out materials from the UT Library? The first step is to find your material. You can look through the online catalog or talk to a librarian for help locating what you’re looking for. Then, check out at a self-service machine or by taking your material to the Circulation Desk. Most books and e-books can be reserved for up to 60 days, and you can check out up to 50 materials at a time! All you need is your student or Faculty ID! So stop by the Holland Building and get reading, Trailblazers!
