Utah Tech University mourns the passing of Jeffrey R. Holland, a beloved alumnus with deep roots in St. George and Southern Utah. A proud Dixie Junior College graduate, he was a lifelong supporter of the university and a respected leader in faith and education. He formerly served as President of Brigham Young University and was President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Jeffrey R. Holland Centennial Commons was named in his honor in 2012.
His funeral procession will pass by the Holland Centennial Commons tomorrow, January 1, between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Those interested in paying their respects are welcome to gather along Trailblazer Boulevard (300 S) near the Human Performance Center and the roundabout during that time.
