Finally. An extension certification that pays. 💰

These are real messages from real IBE® stylists:
A salon owner who’d been stagnant for almost ten years, rebranded extension-exclusive within 18 months, top line nearly four times what it was. Her stylists’ income almost doubled.

A stylist who raised to $200 a row and $100 hourly for color, with her educator team walking her through it.

“Why won’t you just show the beadwork?”
We get asked this question constantly and here’s the honest answer:
Imagine handing the exact same diet plan to a thousand different people… same everything, no adjustments, and expecting it to work for all of them. It won’t 🚫 Not because the plan is bad, but because those thousand people aren’t the same person.

An extension install is the same concept:
Density is different. Scalp elasticity is different. How fine her hair is at the nape, how much she pulls it up, whether she works out five days a week or sleeps on it wet, what her hair has already been through... all of it changes where a row goes, how it’s built, and how much it can hold.
So a photo of one foundation isn’t a template. It’s one answer to one specific person’s hair. Copy it onto someone else and you’ve skipped the entire part that makes it safe.
That’s why we teach it instead of posting it. Certification isn’t gatekeeping… it’s the difference between knowing what to do and knowing why, so you can build it correctly for whoever’s actually in your chair.

The short version:👇

The work window is January 1 – October 26, 2026. That’s when the hair was actually done, not when you submit. So most of your year is fair game.

Open to certified stylists, mentors, educators, and Elevate/Masters students. If you’re in Masters right now, you’re in.

Phone footage is fine. Truly. What matters is that the thing being judged — the blend, the color, the flip up — is clearly visible. No heavy filters that blur texture. Your work is better than a filter anyway.

Every category recognizes three tiers. Top 10, Top 3, Winner. And Community Favorite goes to the most publicly voted entry across all categories, because voting is open to everyone.

And the one we won’t bend on: no AI-generated or AI-edited hair, no misrepresenting the extensions used, no work that isn’t yours, no manipulated results. This community’s whole reputation is built on the work being real. We’re protecting that.

Admissions open September 14th. We will be dropping the categories on Friday so stay tuned! 🥳

Things extension clients think matter vs. what actually matters 💡

She’s worried about: the transformation, how fast the appointment can be, whether people will see it, how much hair she can have. All Fair questions, but none of them are the ones that decide how this goes.

Here’s the real list:

Strategic placement and density matched through the whole head, not just the back. Clean sectioning. Intentional placement. Attention to detail nobody will ever consciously notice. Length that fits her natural density, so her hair can actually handle it. Weight distributed properly so the install stays comfortable and safe for her own hair. A customized install that moves naturally and fits how she actually lives.
AND the one that separates good work from great work... the health of her hair months later 🫰

That’s the whole job… She’ll judge the install on day one. Your work gets judged at the growout 🤍

After a week of reflecting on the past seven years, we just want to say thank you. 🙏🏼

Whether you’ve been here since day 1 or day 2,555, the love this week has been something else… and we’re a little amazed at what’s grown out of what was honestly just a dream.

Hair extensions | Professional haircare | IBE® & Goldie Locks® didn’t build this to be big. She built it because she saw what the extension industry was doing to women’s hair and knew there had to be a better way.
That was supposed to be the whole thing.
But clients talk… She feels no tension or pain with her install and she tells someone. She can wear her hair in a ponytail without her extensions showing and she tells someone. She takes her extensions out after a year and it’s still healthy and she tells someone.
Her stylist gets asked enough times that she finally comes looking for us.

Seven years later there are certified IBE® stylists in twenty-four countries and a day on the calendar… and not one inch of that came from us convincing anybody. It came from you.

Still the same method. Still built for the person in the chair. The world just found out 🤍

Seven years ago, this was just a better way to do one thing: install extensions nobody could see — without damaging the natural hair underneath. No launch plan. No campaign. Just a stylist who couldn’t keep installing the old way and sleep at night.
