SFCHS Alum update

Former St. Francis feature athlete Shadryon Blanka got his final season as a college player off to a solid start for Fort Hays State University in last night's season opening 35-14 win over Angelo State with four tackles and a forced fumble. Blanka is in his final season with the Tigers after transferring over after a redshirt season at K-State. Take a look at his feature in the 2020 issue of Kansas Pregame. (Fun fact: We almost forgot to put Blanka on the cover with the rest of the featured athletes that year but Cheylin assistant coach Mike McCarty noticed the error when we were having him double check some name spellings. Thanks Mike!)

SFCHS’s very own! Students, do you have ideas, big or small, that could make a difference at our school? Share them with Sophomores, Bella Bandel and Elsa Foreman, Junior, Arayla Kennedy, or Senior, Dillon Keller.

We’re proud to introduce the students behind the St. Francis Community High School Mini Foundation! 💚💛

Meet Bella Bandel, Arayla Kennedy, Dillon Keller, and Elsa Foreman — four students who will be helping turn ideas into impact at SFCHS this year!

The Mini Foundation gives students a unique opportunity to be part of the grantmaking process from start to finish. They’ll listen to ideas, consider needs within their school, work together as a team, and help decide where funding can make the greatest difference.

More than anything, this is about giving students ownership in the future of their school and showing them what can happen when leadership and generosity come together.

We’re looking forward to seeing what this group accomplishes! 🌱

💚💛 Their school. Their ideas. Their impact.

Egbert Sprinkling installed the sprinklers. Scott Lesuer, owner of Reusel Construction did the dirt work. St. Francis Redi Mix/McAtee Construction did the concrete. And Greenlawn Sod & Turf did the sod.
