🐻 Stuffed Animal Drive for Huck’s Heroes 💙

Lakeview Elementary School is proud to support Huck’s Heroes, a student-led nonprofit dedicated to spreading kindness and bringing comfort to children during difficult moments.

From October 19 - November 2, we will be collecting new or gently used stuffed animals to donate to local fire stations, police departments, sheriff’s offices, and other first responder agencies. These agencies often keep stuffed animals on hand to provide comfort to children they encounter during emergencies, accidents, and other challenging situations. A simple stuffed animal can help a child feel safer and supported when they need it most.

📍 Donation Location: A collection box will be available in the front office throughout the drive for families and students who would like to contribute.

All donated stuffed animals will be carefully cleaned, individually bagged, and distributed to local first responders to use when supporting children in our community.

Every donation, big or small, can make a difference. Thank you for helping us spread kindness, support our first responders, and bring comfort to children when they need it most. ❤️

Our Dolphins showed up with so much pride for Heritage Day! From beautiful traditional outfits to clothing representing countries close to their hearts, our students made this day extra special!

These are just a few of the amazing students we captured this morning. Throughout Hispanic Heritage Month, we’ve also been enjoying music from different Hispanic countries and learning about the cultures and traditions that make each one unique.

Did you know? Hispanic Heritage Month begins on September 15 because several Latin American countries celebrate their independence around this time!

A huge thank-you to our amazing parents and families for helping make this celebration so special. We love seeing our Dolphins proudly represent their heritage!

¡Nuestros Dolphins celebraron el Día de las Culturas con muchísimo orgullo! Desde hermosos trajes tradicionales hasta ropa que representa a los países que llevan en el corazón, ¡nuestros estudiantes hicieron de este día algo muy especial!

Estas son solo algunas de las increíbles fotos que capturamos esta mañana. Durante el Mes de la Herencia Hispana, también hemos disfrutado de música de diferentes países hispanos y aprendido sobre las culturas y tradiciones que hacen único a cada uno.

¿Sabías que…? El Mes de la Herencia Hispana comienza el 15 de septiembre porque varios países latinoamericanos celebran su independencia alrededor de esta fecha.

¡Muchísimas gracias a nuestros maravillosos padres y familias por hacer esta celebración tan especial! Nos encanta ver a nuestros Dolphins representar sus raíces con orgullo.

Hola Dolphin Families! As part of our Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, students and staff are invited to participate in a free dress-down day. This day is an opportunity to celebrate the vibrant cultures, traditions, and achievements of Hispanic and Latino people while fostering appreciation, respect, and inclusion throughout our school community.

Hola Dolphin Familia! Como parte de nuestra celebración del Mes de la Herencia Hispana, invitamos a los estudiantes y al personal a participar en un día de vestimenta libre. Esta es una oportunidad para celebrar las vibrantes culturas, tradiciones y logros de las comunidades hispanas y latinas, al mismo tiempo que fomentamos el aprecio, el respeto y la inclusión en toda nuestra comunidad escolar.

🎸🐬 ROCK YOUR SCHOOL: PART 2! 🤘📚

Our 3rd and 4th grade Dolphins brought their own kind of ROCK to Lakeview Elementary! From celebrating Indigenous culture to sweetening up the day with Donut Day and lighting things up for Neon Day, our classrooms were buzzing with creativity, curiosity, and FUN!

These experiences show that learning goes beyond textbooks. Whether students are exploring culture and history, participating in themed activities, or learning through hands-on experiences, every opportunity helps make learning more meaningful and memorable!

A HUGE shoutout to our amazing teachers who went above and beyond to decorate their classrooms, plan engaging activities, and create special experiences for their students. Your hard work, creativity, and dedication are what make days like these unforgettable!

🎸🤘 ROCK YOUR SCHOOL: PART 1! 🤘🎸

Our Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade Dolphins brought the ROCK to Lakeview Elementary! From building up the fun with Construction Day 🚧 to stepping into the world of Monsters, Inc. 👾 and getting curious with Mad Scientist Day 🧪, our youngest learners experienced a school day full of creativity, discovery, and hands-on learning!Because learning is even more exciting when students get to jump in, explore, and be part of the action! 📚🎸

A HUGE shoutout to our amazing teachers who went above and beyond to transform their classrooms and create unforgettable learning experiences for their students. Your creativity, dedication, and passion make learning something worth celebrating!

A very hungry Candy Monster has been spotted roaming the halls of Lakeview Elementary! He’s creeping around the school, sniffing out one thing and one thing only…

CANDY! 🍭🍫🍬

But don’t worry…he’s not collecting it for himself. He’s helping us gather candy for our Trunk or Treat on October 23rd, and he needs the help of our amazing Dolphin Family!

The Candy Monster is hungry, and every candy donation helps keep him happy while making our Trunk or Treat extra sweet for our Lakeview Dolphins.

¡Un Monstruo de Dulces muy hambriento ha sido visto recorriendo los pasillos de Lakeview Elementary! Está explorando toda la escuela buscando una sola cosa…

¡DULCES! 🍭🍫🍬

Pero no se preocupen, no los está buscando para él solo. Está ayudándonos a recolectar dulces para nuestro Trunk or Treat el 23 de octubre, ¡y necesita la ayuda de toda nuestra Familia Dolphin!

El Monstruo de Dulces tiene mucha hambre, y cada donación de dulces ayuda a mantenerlo feliz mientras hace que nuestro Trunk or Treat sea aún más dulce para nuestros Delfines de Lakeview.

Who knew adopting a pet could be so much fun and educational?

Our VPK Dolphins loved their Adopt-a-Pet activity while practicing important language, literacy, and communication skills. Be sure to watch until the end to hear them proudly sing in both English and Spanish!

As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re proud to showcase our Dual Language Program, which begins right here in VPK. Learning two languages at an early age helps build confidence, strengthens cognitive skills, and opens doors to a world of opportunities.

¿Quién diría que adoptar una mascota podría ser tan divertido y educativo?

Nuestros pequeños Delfines de VPK disfrutaron mucho de la actividad de Adoptar una Mascota mientras practicaban importantes destrezas de lenguaje, lectura y comunicación. ¡Asegúrense de ver el video hasta el final para escucharlos cantar con orgullo en inglés y español!

Mientras celebramos el Mes de la Herencia Hispana, nos enorgullece destacar nuestro Programa de Lenguaje Dual, que comienza desde VPK. Aprender dos idiomas desde temprana edad ayuda a desarrollar la confianza, fortalece las habilidades cognitivas y abre las puertas a un mundo de oportunidades.
