Tour was a great day filled with exciting activities! We visited 3 schools, went to the Schubert Art Museum, and saw a very special performance by Lo Jo down in St. Paul.

Congratulations composers and participants from today's student composition recital! So much talent coming out of SCSU! Great job Carlos Camejo, Brad Hamer, Jack Fitzgerald, Justin Frerich, Jordon Goebel, Edgar Languren, Sam Schlossin, David Thompson, Chandra Tjong, Joe Williams, and Steven Yang.

Tonight's student organization awards were a blast!!! Congratulations St.Cloud State University Orchestra for winning "Most Outstanding Campus Community" AND to Dr. Salvo for winning "Most Outstanding Adviser"! Orchestra members, give yourselves a pat on the back. :)

Great job everyone who played at Convocation today! You rocked it!

Another successful orchestra retreat!!! We had a great time playing musical Jeopardy, eating pizza, and using a new practice technique!!! Can't wait for next semester!!!

Although it's a little past Christmas, here are some photos from our Christmas Outreach Concert in the community! Students from the SCSU Music Department organized Christmas sing-alongs for residents of an assisted living facility. The music got everyone in the holiday spirit and it was a unique way to spend our Saturday!

Welcome back, everyone! We are so excited to be kicking off this semester with new music and hopefully new faces!

If you are interested in joining orchestra, please bring your instrument Tuesday and Thursday (Jan 12 & 14), 3-5pm in the Performing Arts Center in the Recital Hall. Auditions will occur in the following weeks. Winds, Brass, Strings, and Percussion are all welcome!
