Hmong Student Organization PRESENTS... Hmong TWOday. An event on March 1st and 2nd. We have 2 different workshops for our members and the St. Cloud community. These workshops are FREE of entry! The first workshop will be on March 1st (NEXT WEDNESDAY). This is the second workshop on Marcch 2nd (THURSDAY)!

This workshop, hosted by Kabao Yang, discusses the negative stigmatization and invisibility of mental health issues within the Hmong community and how these issues still continue to affect the community. It also considers the cultural differences of the Hmong people in the United States and the contemporary problems that the Hmong people face with acculturation, poverty, and language acquisition. Please prepare for discussions and questions are welcome!

Come ready to learn and engage yourself in many topics such as the main branches of Kev Cai Hmoob (Hmong customs), Kev Neeb Kev Yaig (Shamanism), and other cultural traditions (Kwv Txhiaj, clothing, instruments, etc.). Questions are welcomed!

Today (2/24), Beth Vang will be visiting the cultural center around 4pm to promote the Korean-America Student Conference. She will be handing out business cards and answering any question(s) you may have. Application deadline is approaching (March 1st - next Wednesday). They have some positions open and Beth wants some more representation from Minnesota. /// Beth Vang is the President of HAIS from St. Bens and also the sister of our very own HSO member - Jack Vang.

Hmong Night 2017 is on April 15th (Saturday)! Doors open at 5:30PM. Show starts at 6-10PM.
