If you are interested in learning more on Latino issues and history in the United States, consider enrolling in ETHS 305: U.S. Latina/o History. The course focuses on migration, labor recruitment, family networks, religious conversion, education inequities, electoral participation, and representations in film, fiction, and broader popular culture of people from Mexico, the Caribbean, Central, and South America who have become “American” while still remaining (or becoming) a racial and/or cultural “other” to most “Americans” in the United States.
The class meets T-TH 11:00am – 12:15pm.

The IWW is hosting an Organizer Training 101 gig in Minneapolis next weekend. The training is great for those interested in Workplace Organizing. It'll be from 9:30-5:30 each day. The training is rather intensive and interactive. It's a lot of fun. Let me know if any of you wonderful comrades are interested!
