The School of the Arts at St. Cloud State University is an organization in the College of Liberal Arts dedicated to excellence in education of the arts.
The School of the Arts is composed of three departments, Music, Art and Theatre and Film Studies. The School was created out of the reorganization of the University in 2010-2011. The School is intentionally partitioned from the College of Liberal Arts to make it a distinct, recognizable presence on campus and our community. A new exhibit βResonance of Floating Bodies by Joe Smithβ opens Jan. 18 in the Kiehle Gallery on the St. Cloud State University campus.
The exhibit, which runs through Feb. 16, explores the connections between the liminal spaces between objects being and non-being. The Department of Art will hold an opening reception in the gallery from 1-3 p.m. on Jan. 18. https://scsu.mn/3XBlBzX

The Miller Center Student Art Show makes its return Nov. 18 after a two-year hiatus, showcasing St. Cloud State University student art on the first floor of the James W. Miller Learning Resources Center.
The show is sponsored by the SCSU Library and the Art Student Union. An opening reception is scheduled for Nov. 17 at 4 p.m., where top honors from the 34 submissions will be announced. https://scsu.mn/3UI6ZOk

There's a very special exhibit coming to The Whit Gallery in St. Cloud Greater with a juried show.
π»ππ π»ππππ π΄ππ π¨ππ π¬ππππππ is based on a theme of βHonor the Earthβ and Investing in the Future While Banking on Our Inheritanceβ It will be an art show that focuses on the importance of protecting the environment.
Itβs a juried show and forty pieces will be selected. Thirty will stay at the Whit Gallery for three weeks and ten pieces will travel to the Good Earth Food Coopfor two months.
Artists are invited to submit up to 3 pieces through an online submission form at the Whit Gallery.
There are cash prizes for 1st through 4th place winners. The deadline to submit art is Sunday, October 23rd.
