Teacher's saving money

Started couponing again today. Not great because I don't have my coupons built up. But did manage to go to Winn Dixie, publix, walmart, cvs and walgreens. All 3 saint cloud publix stores are out of the yellow advantage anyone have an extra one?

How has everyone been doing with coupons? I have to admit I have not been shopping for weeks.

Has any one heard about Osceola Walmart taking BJ's coupons?

Just a reminder this weekend is a holiday weekend so there will be no coupons in the Sunday paper.

So there are good deals at walmart you just have to put up with the cashiers and customer service and be ready to wait a while at check out. But don't back down when you know you are following their policy and not doing anything wrong.

Bad part, part 2: I was using regular manufacture coupons, some printed and some cut out of inserts, I even had 2 from the All You magazine. She couldn't understand that I could use a $5 coupon from the All You on a $3 clearance shirt. And the $2.50 /2 Reach floss coupon also bugged her as they are only .88 cents. I called corporate so let's see what the manager has to say. I am not holding my breath.

Now for the bad part: it took longer to check out than it did to shop. The cashier questioned every coupon, she kept saying I have to check on this one. She didn't understand about overage and made me feel like I was stealing. The Customer service person just kept saying, "Just give it to her" like I was doing something wrong.

Well I did a Saint Cloud Wal-mart deal today. Good and bad experience. On the good side I got over $56 for $2.72 (which was all tax). Included in my items were 2 blouses for me, 1 pack razors, 4 packs of batteries, 2 All You Magazines, 14 Carefree pads, 13 Reach Dental floss, 1 poligrip and 1 Nexcare bandaids.

So Sad got my June BJ's coupon booklet in the mail today.
However here's some good news. I talked to 192 Publix and they WILL be taking the save-a-lot $5/$25 coupon. From what I can tell online all the publix's who have Save-a-lot as a competitor will be taking it, that is from corporate.
