The College of Arts and Sciences is the intellectual heart of St. Cloud State University—a vibrant space where curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry come together. Rooted in a strong liberal arts tradition, our programs and curriculum equip every student with essential foundational skills, prepares them for advanced study across disciplines, and fosters a spirit of exploration that spans the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences. By connecting learning to meaning, we empower students to better understand the world around them and their place within it.

St. Cloud State Reorganizes Academic Colleges to Match Regional Workforce Shifts

Prof. Dyer’s undergraduate and graduate Geography of Wine students visited the University of Minnesota Horticulture & Research Center and St. Croix Vineyard to learn about grape breeding and winemaking last week. Shout out to the incredible staff who found time during an incredibly busy time of year to provide us with this outstanding learning opportunity!

The 60th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition had a great turn out of students, faculty, staff, community members, alums and retired faculty/staff.

There was an informal celebration of the Kiehle Visual Art Center (KVAC), an open house of the Art Department's Makerspace, free food and several awards were given!

👏 Huge appreciation for the St. Cloud State presence at today’s 16th Annual Giving Voice Leadership Conference in Minneapolis! 👏

Our own Joe Rosh, Director of Teacher Pipelines, Partnerships & Pathways, was a presenter at this event that brought together a diverse group of 450-500 high school students from seven school districts who participate in Educators Rising and AVID.

He was joined at the conference by Admissions Counselor and SCSU Social Studies grad, James Reichow, SCSU College of Liberal Arts Student Relations Director, Hien Studniski, and Herberger Business School at SCSU Student Relations Director, Lisa Miller.
