Saint Cloud State Ecology Club

The Ecology Club is volunteering at the wildcat Sanctuary again! If you're interested come to the Wick greenhouse at 12pm for more info. Our crew day is Sep 29th and the max is 8 SCSU students.

The Ecology Club would like to let everyone know that we will be selling seedlings this spring (Late April) for $1 each! We will have a variety of flowers and herbs as well as tomatoes! Please let your friends know, and we will post again when they are ready to go!! This fundraiser helps support our club costs, and you get a GREAT deal on your garden plants! See you in April!!

Hi everyone,
we will be having our last meeting of the year tomorrow, Wednesday at 5:30 in the greenhouse. We will be tie dying shirts, and voting on next years board members.

Most importantly, pizza will be provided.

The SCSU Ecology Club volunteered for 5 hours with http://www.wildcatsanctuary.org/ on 3/25/2017. Afterwords we took a tour of the grounds, and met the cats!

The Ecology Club had a fun time volunteering today with the Wild Cat Sanctuary! We built an enclosure, and got to meet the sanctuary's cats.

Hey all Ecology/ Biology majors,

Tommorow night at 7 PM there will be an informational meeting for an upcoming field weekend at Itasca State Park. It will be held in the Mississippi room in Atwood (main floor). If you are interested in this event come out and get some more information. Trip fees are just $20 until our October 4th meeting date, the fee must be paid to register. After October 4th the cost doubles, so don't hesitate if you are interested. In addition, if you have an interest in Field Biology and opportunities like these, we can also provide information about joining the Ecology Club. Hope to see you there!

We have successfully installed the two bat houses! We are very excited to finish this major project. Our hopes are that both houses will hold 400+ bats each. With an increase in bats, we are hoping to see a decrease in the mosquito population! Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to make this awesome project happen.

The day has finally arrived! Today SOCCA will be installing two bat houses in Q lot. We will be meeting on the side of the greenhouse (between the greenhouse and Wick's annex) at 12:30PM. We hope you can attend and see the completion of this awesome project.

Hello members!

We will be cancelling our bat house installation today, as we were unable to get all of the necessary supplies. Additionally, we feel the weather is less than ideal. Our plan is to install the bat houses during finals week in the afternoon, and then host a pizza party for our last meeting. Stay tuned for details, which will likely be posted in the next few days.
