Yesterday was Taylor’s last day at Neli's Little Sunshine Home daycare Llc. and my heart doesn’t know what to think
Some people come into your life for a season, and others leave a lasting imprint on your heart forever. As Taylor closes this chapter at daycare, I find myself reflecting on the last three years with so much gratitude!
When I first brought Taylor as a five
month old baby through those doors, I was a first time mom with all of the questions, uncertainties, and emotions that come with navigating motherhood for the very first time. Handing over your baby is never easy, but Neli and Kelci made me feel at ease and I knew my baby boy would be in good hands from the very beginning!
Neli, thank you for creating a place that feels so much more like family than daycare. Your warmth, guidance, reassurance, and ability to connect with every child is truly special. One of my favorite things has always been watching you greet Taylor each day— meeting him right where he is, embracing his quirks, laughing at his silly responses, and letting his big personality lead the conversation. You made him feel seen, valued, and loved exactly as he is.
Kelci, thank you for the gentle and nurturing care you have given Taylor over the years. Your kindness, patience, and genuine love for the children shine through in everything you do. It has been such a gift getting to know you and Melody along the way. Watching her start kindergarten at Lakeview and now flourish into a confident, beautiful girl preparing for second grade has been such a joy. Taylor absolutely adores her and I’ll forever be grateful for the friendship they’ve built!
Over the past three years, I have watched Taylor grow from a tiny baby into a curious, confident, funny, and capable little boy. The growth I’ve witnessed— physically, mentally, and emotionally— has been incredible. So much of that is because of the love, education, encouragement, and care he received each day with you both. You helped nurture not only his learning, but also his confidence, friendships, creativity, and sense of self.
Thank you for every hug, every lesson, every reassurance, every milestone celebrated, every photo shared, every laugh, and every moment you poured into my son. Thank you for loving him so well when I couldn’t be with him. The memories, relationships, and bonds formed over these years are ones our family will treasure forever.
We are leaving with full hearts and endless gratitude. Thank you for being such an important part of Taylor’s story. We will never forget the impact you’ve had on our family. ❤️ We love you both so much!
