First United Methodist Preschool Traditional Preschool offering active learning in a Christian environment for children ages 3-5. All programs are from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.).

All children in all programs must be completely toilet trained. Preschool

The Preschool program is designed for children who are 3 years old by September 1st and who are completely potty trained. Preschool is offered three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday). Pre-Kindergarten

The Pre-K program is specifically designed to prepare children to enter Kindergarten the following school year. For those who will be four years old by September 1st , the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program, (VPK) is paid for by the State of Florida. This is not based on income, but is provided for through the Early Learning Coalition. VPK registration fees are waived for four hours per day, four days per week program, (Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. Parents are responsible for signing their child's attendance record each month and adhering to our Attendance Policy to maintain enrollment in VPK.

I am so proud of our VPK program! Our staff is so dedicated and works really hard at getting all of our students ready for Kindergarten. We just had a representative from the Early Learning Coalition drop off our certificate which designates our program as Excellent after last year’s monitoring. Way to go!

F is for fall and firefighters this week in our Red Door classroom. We continued to learn about fire safety in our community helper center that focused on being a firefighter. We also did a pumpkin investigation by learning how to measure the pumpkin’s height, and circumference. We opened the pumpkin and counted how many seeds we could pull out.
