In recent years there have been concerns about whether the monarch butterfly was a threatened species. Thanks to good weather, and an increase in their food, the pollinator’s numbers increased in 2026.

I went to Munsinger Gardens in St. Cloud, MN. Here's everybody enjoying the beautiful flowers and then there's me, video bombing all the bees 🐝

It's very interesting to go there and see what flowers the pollinators prefer. They most definitely have favorites.

Anybody else overwhelmed by the amount of AI nature videos? Having my page as it is, the algorithm always have floated lots of conservation and nature pages my way but now half of them are AI generated and likely Bot accounts. I hate it :(

Recently adopted code changes allow natural lawns, which may consist of plantings (other than turf grass) may exceed 8 inches in height.

Natural lawn maintenance includes:
• No vegetative overhang on the sidewalk, curb, street, or adjacent properties
• May not include turf grass or any noxious or invasive weeds and plants

Prior to planting a natural lawn, call 811 for a free utility locate to ensure that planting areas do not interfere with utilities.
