🚀 Shoutout to Canoe Creek K-8's amazing CTE teacher, Mrs. Walker Cooper! 🎉

She has officially earned her ICT Cybersecurity Essentials certification and is now ready to start certifying her students! 🔐💻 Her students will gain valuable cybersecurity knowledge while also exploring a variety of career paths through Paxton Patterson labs.

Way to go, Mrs. Walker Cooper, for leading the way and preparing students for the future! 🌟 Securing success, one certification at a time! 🔑✨

🌟 Rising 8th Grade CTE Spotlight: Armani 🌟
Creek K-8 ➜ Harmony High School
CTE Teacher: Mrs. Walker Cooper
Skill Up CTE Middle School Lab

Armani is being recognized as a Rising 8th Grade CTE Spotlight for her strong interests in both Criminal Justice and Veterinary Assisting as she prepares to begin high school.

Armani will be attending Harmony High School, where she plans to enroll in Criminal Justice Operations and Veterinary Assisting pathways. She chose Criminal Justice because it has been a long-time interest, and she wants to learn more about law enforcement and investigative work. She also chose Veterinary Assisting because of her love for animals and her desire to help care for and protect them.

While at Canoe Creek K-8 under Mrs. Walker Cooper, Armani participated in the Skill Up CTE Middle School Lab, where she gained hands-on exposure to both career fields. In Criminal Justice activities, she learned skills such as fingerprinting and identifying different materials used in investigations. In Veterinary Assisting activities, she practiced skills like safely muzzling a dog and learning how blood draws are performed in animal care settings. These experiences helped her discover her confidence and strengths in both pathways.

Armani’s goals include learning how to properly solve and investigate cases, earning a certification in Criminal Justice, and continuing to build her skills in Veterinary Assisting. She also hopes to learn how to X-ray animals and administer vaccines while earning a certification in the veterinary pathway.

🌟 We are proud of Armani’s curiosity, hands-on learning, and dedication to exploring two meaningful career paths, and we are excited to see her grow at Harmony High School.

Skill Up CTE Middle School Lab

Gianna is being recognized as a Rising 8th Grade CTE Spotlight for her strong interest in engineering and her early commitment to a future in Applied Engineering.

Gianna will be attending NeoCity Academy for the 2026–2027 school year, where she plans to enroll in the Applied Engineering pathway. She chose this pathway because she enjoys learning how mechanical parts work together and has a passion for building and creating robots that can help solve real-world problems.

While at Canoe Creek K-8 under Mrs. Walker Cooper, Gianna participated in the Skill Up CTE Middle School Lab, where she gained hands-on experience in robotics and engineering concepts. Through this exposure, she learned how robots function and how engineering connects to real-world careers. This experience helped spark her interest and inspired her to continue pursuing engineering in high school.

Gianna’s goals for the future include growing as a person, improving her teamwork and communication skills, and continuing to explore how robotics and engineering can lead to career opportunities. She is also excited to keep building her creativity while developing skills that will help her succeed long-term.

🌟 We are proud of Gianna’s curiosity, motivation, and early career focus, and we can’t wait to see her continue growing in the Applied Engineering pathway.
