You are helping your kiddo with their math homework and as you try your absolute best to teach them, they look at you like you are speaking an entirely different language. Does this scenario feel all too familiar? Keep the peace and lock in a time slot with an experienced, certified teacher to help with existing homework assignments. Here is how to get on the books:

1. Message, text or call me- let me know your child’s grade, subject of the homework and time slot you are interested in to see if I am available.
2. Once I confirm, I’ll send you a brief inquiry form to complete so I can personalize the session to your child’s needs! Once I am able to confirm we are a good fit for each other, I will send you a Zoom Link for the upcoming session. (I can also accommodate sessions to Skype, FaceTime or Google Meets)
3. Send me a picture of the assignment so I can adequately prepare.
4. Payment needs to occur prior to the virtual session via Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App

After our first session together, you will be prioritized and notified of my availability for the upcoming week via email or text if you are interested.

My name is Amanda Hodges. I have nearly a decade of experience helping scholars succeed in the education system as a classroom teacher and want to offer my skill sets in a more personalized setting. I spent the last four years teaching 8th Grade Language Arts. Prior to teaching middle school, I taught all subjects in sixth grade, where I received my Masters Degree in Mathematics Education Curriculum and Design. While my data consistently demonstrated tremendous academic growth each year, that simply wasn’t possible without connecting with my scholars by getting to know their passions, strengths and needs. I am interested in providing my students with opportunities to become more successful readers, writers and mathematicians. Whether it is phonics, essay writing or algebra, I am equally passionate about enabling students to achieve both! I believe that all students are capable of learning and growing when they feel known and safe to take risks when faced with challenges.
