🚔🐾 COMMUNITY HELPER WEEK IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY! 🐾🚔

And we couldn’t have asked for a better first guest of honor — Deputy Davis & Hondo! 💙

Our preschoolers had the BEST time learning all about Hondo — including where he’s from, the special training he’s completed, what his job looks like, and even what he likes to do in his free time when he’s off duty and not busy helping protect our community! 🐕‍🦺

And how fun is this?! Hondo was named after the John Wayne movie “Hondo!” 🤠🎬

But one of our FAVORITE lessons of the day went beyond learning about Hondo’s job…

💙 We learned about FRIENDSHIP, TRUST & FEELING SAFE! 💙

It is so important for our kiddos to build positive relationships with the deputies and community helpers who work hard to keep them safe. Experiences like today help children understand that deputies are safe, trusted grown-ups they can recognize, talk to, and ask for help when they need it.

🌟 Preschool Developmental Goal:
Through positive, hands-on interactions with local deputies and first responders, children build social-emotional awareness, community connections, trust, confidence, and an understanding of who they can turn to for help in an emergency.

🍎✨ APPLE PICKING MEMORIES! ✨🍎

Our preschool apple-picking field trips were about SO much more than filling a bag with apples! 🥰🍏

One of our favorite parts of field trips is watching our Kids Village school family come together. Teachers, kiddos, parents, grandparents, and special grown-ups sharing laughs, exploring together, lending a hand, and making memories outside of our classroom walls. ❤️

Building that sense of community and belonging is such an important part of early childhood. When children see their families and teachers connecting, laughing, and experiencing things together, it strengthens that beautiful little village surrounding them. 🫶🏼

And while our kiddos thought they were just having fun… SO much learning was happening! 🍎

From seeing where apples actually grow and picking them straight from the trees, to counting apples, comparing colors and sizes, using those little hand muscles to twist and pull, following directions, practicing patience, taking turns, exploring nature, and learning about the world around them — this is hands-on learning at its very best! 🌳🍏

These real-life experiences bring everything we’ve been learning in the classroom to LIFE. Suddenly our apple science, stories, counting, sensory experiences, and dramatic-play apple orchard have a real-world connection. ❤️

Because preschool isn’t only about what happens at a table.

It’s exploring.
It’s experiencing.
It’s connecting.
It’s getting a little dirty.
It’s making memories.
And it’s learning through PLAY! 🍎✨

A HUGE thank you to all of our families who joined us, helped us, laughed with us, and made these trips so special. We absolutely LOVE building our no school community with you.

It truly takes a village…and we’re pretty proud of ours. ❤️🍎

There’s just something about hearing our preschoolers sing “Skidamarink-a-dink-a-dink, Skidamarink-a-doo… I LOVE YOU!” with their little friends that absolutely melts our hearts. 🥹💕🎶

Those sweet little voices, big smiles, and friends singing to friends may look like a simple, adorable classroom moment—but there is SO much learning happening! 🌈

🎵 Singing in the classroom helps our kiddos build language and vocabulary, strengthen memory and listening skills, recognize rhythm and patterns, and practice coordination and self-expression.

💕 And when we sing together with friends, something even more special happens! Children are developing social-emotional skills, learning to participate as part of a group, building confidence, practicing turn-taking and cooperation, and—most importantly—creating a sense of belonging and connection with their peers.

Music gives children a safe and joyful way to express emotions, connect with others, and learn that being part of a classroom community feels GOOD. 🫶

So while we hear a room full of tiny voices singing “I love you…” we’re also watching friendships grow, confidence bloom, language develop, and beautiful little memories being made. 🥹🌸

And goodness… these are the preschool moments we wish we could bottle up forever. 💗🎶

🍟❤️ Happy National French Fry Day! ❤️🍟

Our Summer Camp friends had an absolute FRY-tastic time celebrating one of the tastiest holidays of the year! 😋 We sampled all kinds of fries—from crispy curly fries to delicious sweet potato fries—and, of course, we couldn’t forget the sauce bar with all the yummy dipping choices!

Trying new foods is a fun way to encourage children to explore different flavors, textures, and make choices while enjoying a special day with friends. The laughter, smiles, and “taste tests” made for the perfect summer memory!

Here’s to making learning fun, one fry at a time! 🍟☀️❤️

💦🩵 SPLASH, LAUGH, LEARN & GROW! 🩵💦

Yesterday was one BIG splash of FUN at the Splash Park! ☀️🌈 From racing through the water, giggling with friends, and making the biggest splashes, to soaking up every moment of sunshine, our Summer Camp crew had an absolute blast! There is nothing better than seeing happy faces, contagious laughter, and friendships growing with every adventure. 🫧💙

Our hearts are SO full because we couldn’t be prouder of our amazing campers! They showed kindness, respect, responsibility, patience, and the best listening ears all day long. They represented Kids Village beautifully, and that deserves the biggest round of applause! 👏✨

While field trips are filled with excitement and fun, they’re also filled with opportunities to reach incredible milestones! Every adventure helps our campers:
🌟 Build confidence in new places.
🌟 Practice independence and responsibility.
🌟 Strengthen friendships through teamwork and cooperation.
🌟 Develop problem-solving and communication skills.
🌟 Learn important community and safety expectations.
🌟 Create real-world experiences that simply can’t be taught inside four walls.

The best learning happens when children are exploring, discovering, and making memories together—and that’s exactly what yesterday was all about! 💛

From a graduating preschooler here at Kids Village all the way to a graduating senior — what an incredible full-circle moment! ❤️🎓

Tonight, we celebrate our very own Ms. Lexi and all of the amazing accomplishments she has achieved. Awarded 5 scholarships, an advocate on the student school board, highly involved in student council, and a true leader throughout her community — Ms. Lexi has shown what hard work, dedication, and kindness can accomplish.

Beyond her achievements, we are so grateful to have her as part of our teaching staff. She has been such a positive role model for our little learners and a valued member of our Kids Village family.

Congratulations, Ms. Lexi, on your graduation this evening! We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see all the amazing things your future holds.

Family-style dining is a wonderful way for our kiddos to build independence and confidence while practicing important self-help skills! Today we asked the big question… Can we serve ourselves? The answer was a proud YES, we can!

Our little learners even jellied their own biscuits! Using popsicle sticks to spread the jelly gave us a chance to show off those amazing fine motor skills—and they absolutely nailed it!

Of course, the best part of family-style dining is the table talk. Conversations are a must at our table! This morning’s topic was: “What did you have for dinner?” We heard lots of yummy answers, but a personal favorite was an egg sandwich with bacon.

Moments like these remind us that learning happens everywhere—even at the table. Family time is the best time! 🍓🥞🧡
