There’s just something about hearing our preschoolers sing “Skidamarink-a-dink-a-dink, Skidamarink-a-doo… I LOVE YOU!” with their little friends that absolutely melts our hearts. 🥹💕🎶
Those sweet little voices, big smiles, and friends singing to friends may look like a simple, adorable classroom moment—but there is SO much learning happening! 🌈
🎵 Singing in the classroom helps our kiddos build language and vocabulary, strengthen memory and listening skills, recognize rhythm and patterns, and practice coordination and self-expression.
💕 And when we sing together with friends, something even more special happens! Children are developing social-emotional skills, learning to participate as part of a group, building confidence, practicing turn-taking and cooperation, and—most importantly—creating a sense of belonging and connection with their peers.
Music gives children a safe and joyful way to express emotions, connect with others, and learn that being part of a classroom community feels GOOD. 🫶
So while we hear a room full of tiny voices singing “I love you…” we’re also watching friendships grow, confidence bloom, language develop, and beautiful little memories being made. 🥹🌸
And goodness… these are the preschool moments we wish we could bottle up forever. 💗🎶
