Congrats to Kolton, Nolan, and Lydia for being Premier Exhibitors at the Olmsted County Fair. Kolton in Swine, Nolan in Construction and Crops, and Lydia in Horticulture.

This afternoon we hosted the “Premier Exhibitor Award” luncheon at Charlie’s Eatery in Rochester, MN. This event recognizes outstanding FFA exhibitors from the current year at Olmsted County Fair showcasing their hard work and innovative projects. CONGRATULATIONS to Emily Brogan who was just announced as a National Finalist with her Dairy Production Placement Proficiency Award for her work in her Supervised Agricultural Experience where she works at her family's farm, Brogan Heights Dairy. Emily joins other finalists from Ohio, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. Emily's application was evaluated this summer with applicants from across the country after she was named Minnesota's winning applicant last April. Emily and the other finalists will now interview virtually in mid September to be recognized as part of the 3rd General Session at the 99th National FFA Convention in October!

Congratulations to Emily and best of luck as you prepare for the next interview process!

The FFA officers met for the final meeting this summer and finished off with team photos and a potluck at Haley's house. The wildflowers were a hit especially with the boys on the team 😂

St. Charles FFA members Brianna Campbell and Sawyer Decker showed their cattle at the Olmsted County Fair FFA Beef Show. Brianna earned the Champion Commercial Heifer. Sawyer received the Champion Simmental, Champion Foundation Simmental Heifers, and Reserve overall heifer. Sawyer also exhibited in the beef market show.

St. Charles FFA members Avery Klassen, Chase Klassen, Nolan Warmkagathje, and Lydia Warmkagathje exhibited non livestock projects at the Olmsted County Fair FFA Show. Avery Klassen showed 3 projects in Ag Sciences. Was Champion Ag Sciences with her hydroponics vs traditional farming poster. She had Champion and Reserve Champion Crops samples with corn and soybean samples. Nolan Warmkagathje, Lydia Warmkagathje and Chase Klassen also exhibited crop samples. Nolan was Champion Animal Feeds with his Corn Silage and was named Premier Exhibitor for Crops.

Nolan and Lydia also entered construction projects and Nolan was Champion and Reserve Champion Construction. He was also named Premier Exhibitor in Construction.

Lydia and Nolan both had Horticulture exhibits with Lydia being named Champion with her floral arrangement.

St. Charles FFA members Brianna Brogan, Tom Brogan, Emily Brogan, Kaleb House, and Kolton House competed in the FFA Swine Show at Olmsted County Fair. Kolton received Grand and Reserve Champion for breeding gilts, Grand Champion for showmanship, and was named Premier Exhibitor.

This year we sent 4 chapter officers Haley, Emily,Nolan, and Kolton to the state conference for chapter leaders, also known as SLCCL. The 2026 SLCCL theme was lights camera leadership featuring 10 sessions to improve leadership for the chapter. five of the sessions were to learn the 5 C’s of communication, 1 was to learn about the Program of activities, 2 where to bond with the small group each officer was put into, 1 was to learn how to talk to stakeholders, and the final one was to reflect on what the 4 officers that attended can bring back to the chapter.
