Ready for a Great Year! 🍎📚

Our teachers came together yesterday to prepare, plan, and get classrooms ready for our students! We’ve been busy all summer cleaning, organizing, and getting everything ready—and we’re loving our freshly updated classrooms and beautiful new carpet!

Open House is next week, and school starts the following week! We’re so excited to see our students and families and begin another wonderful year together! ❤️✨

The sunflower seeds our preschoolers planted this spring are now in full bloom, bringing honeybees and other pollinators to our garden. 🌻🐝 As we get ready to welcome our students back in just a couple of weeks, we can't help but smile at all the beautiful signs of a new season of growth ahead. 💛

🎭 Summer Camp Week 2 was all about Puppet Play!

Children decorated puppet theaters, explored different types of puppets, and made their own sock or wooden spoon puppets. A special highlight was a lesson from a Teacher Sam, a former puppeteer, who taught us how puppets come to life through movement and expression.

We finished the week by putting on a puppet show for our dads based on Eric Carle's I 💙 Dad and then enjoyed "Donuts with Dads". Students also made posters for their dads for Father's Day🍩✨

We're still smiling about Week 1 of our Summer Camp! 🌿 Inspired by Where the Wild Things Are, campers explored the prairie, learned bird songs, made nature crowns and oriole feeders, and completed a Max-inspired obstacle course. We also picked radishes from our garden!

A favorite moment was a special visit from Teacher Kim's son, a zoologist, who read the book and then waded into the pond to help us discover the wildlife living beneath the surface🐸✨
