📣 Meet Our 2026–2027 Broadcasting Team! 🎥🎤

We are excited to announce this year’s J.F. Gauthier Elementary Broadcasting Team, made up of a talented group of our 5th grade Hurricanes! 💙❤️

Each morning, this team helps kick off the school day by bringing our morning news to students and staff across campus. From sharing important announcements to keeping everyone informed and starting the day with school spirit, they play an important role in our school community!

We are so proud of these students for taking on this leadership opportunity and representing JFG with confidence and Hurricane Pride!

Our Hurricanes had an amazing first day on Friday! From reconnecting with friends and meeting new teachers to exploring classrooms and diving into learning, our school was filled with excitement and smiles.

Thank you to our students, families, faculty, and staff for making the first day such a success. Your enthusiasm and support set the stage for a fantastic year ahead.

It was wonderful seeing so many smiling faces, meeting our new students and families, and reconnecting with returning Hurricanes. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, dropped off supplies, and helped make the evening such a success.

Join us for our Back-to-School Night this Wednesday, August 5th from 4:00-6:00! This is a great opportunity for students and families to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and drop off school supplies before the first day of school.

As we prepare for another exciting school year, we'd like to take a moment to thank Mrs. Abadie for her dedication and leadership last year as Assistant Principal at J.F. Gauthier Elementary. Throughout the past year, she has been a tremendous support to our students, staff, and families. While we will certainly miss seeing her at Gauthier each day, we are excited for her as she begins her new role as a District Literacy Mentor. We know she will continue making a difference by supporting teachers and students across the district. Congratulations, Mrs. Abadie, and best of luck in your new position!

At the same time, we are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Brittani Field as the new Assistant Principal at J.F. Gauthier Elementary! Mrs. Field brings years of classroom experience, instructional leadership, and a passion for helping both students and teachers succeed. We are excited to have her join the Hurricane family and look forward to the knowledge, enthusiasm, and leadership she will bring to our school.

Mrs. Mankin’s class enjoyed an end of the year Bubble Gum Day. Her students learned about the invention of bubble gum and how something so simple became such a fun treat over time. They wrote down step-by-step directions for how to blow a bubble and then followed their own instructions. There was a lot of laughter when those “steps” needed a little revising!

In honor of Better Speech and Hearing Month, our staff enjoyed a special Hydration Station just for faculty! 💧💙 Staying hydrated supports overall health, including vocal care and listening stamina—something educators use all day, every day.
