🌱🔭 Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🔭🌱

Our Kindergarten students had a great time visiting the Maumus Center for a hands-on science field trip! Students explored the planetarium and classroom lab as they learned about plants and the plant life cycle—the perfect way to kick off their new Science unit! 🌱🌻

We love seeing our youngest learners explore, discover, and get excited about science! ❤️💙

Mrs. McCloskey’s class had a blast researching and creating posters focused on one of the nine characteristics of civilization!

Students were challenged to define their assigned characteristic and create an illustration that represented their definition. It was so much fun seeing them apply what they’ve learned while adding their own creativity and personal touch to their work!

📚🔤 Learning is happening everywhere at Gauthier! Ms. Begin’s class took their learning to the library, where students practiced blending letter sounds to build words. We love seeing our students strengthen their early reading skills one sound at a time! ❤️💙

📚🧠 Main Idea Masters at Work! 🔎✨

Mrs. Hayes’ students worked together to strengthen their reading skills by identifying topic sentences, finding key details that support the main idea, and eliminating unrelated information. Most importantly, they practiced explaining their reasoning and working together to defend their thinking!

➗✏️ Math in Action!

Our students are building a deeper understanding of multiplication by using place value discs and area models to multiply multi-digit numbers. These hands-on strategies help students visualize the math, make connections, and strengthen their problem-solving skills.

We love seeing our students read, think, write, and discuss their way through learning! ❤️💙

💨⚡ Learning in Action!

Our fourth-grade students put their engineering skills to work as they designed and built functional wind turbines! Through this hands-on challenge, students explored how wind can be used as a renewable energy source while connecting concepts in engineering and environmental science.
