Today in class we turned ordinary garden rocks into MARBLE masterpieces using nail polish! π¨πͺ¨β¨
We learned all about rocks β how they are formed, the different types, and how nature creates unique patterns over time. Then we became little geologists + artists by using water and drops of nail polish to create beautiful marble designs on our garden stones! ππ
The best part? No two rocks turned out the same! Every swirl, splash, and dip created a completely unique masterpiece. Watching the polish spread across the water before dipping the rocks was SO satisfying π
Science + creativity = the perfect combo π‘π¨
These colorful rocks are perfect for gardens, fairy paths, plant pots, or hidden kindness rocks around town! πΈπͺ΄

πΊπΈβ¨ Today in class we made Memorial Day Rice Krispy Treats! β¨πΊπΈ
Our young chefs turned a simple snack into a fun STEM-inspired activity by learning how ingredients change when heated and mixed together! π©βπ³π§βπ³
First, we melted butter and marshmallows to create a gooey mixture, then added crispy rice cereal and mixed everything together. After that, we separated the treats into red, white, and blue layers to create a patriotic dessert perfect for Memorial Day weekend! β€οΈπ€π
The best part? Decorating and taste-testing, of course! π

ππ₯ TODAYβS STEM CHALLENGE: CRICKET WICKET KNOCKDOWN ENGINEERING DESIGN!
Our students became engineers today by designing and testing a cricket wicket knockdown system using creativity, physics, and teamwork π¬βοΈ
The goal?
Build a design strong enough to standβ¦ but accurate enough to be knocked down with the perfect hit π―
Students explored: β¨ Engineering design
β¨ Force & motion
β¨ Accuracy and angles
β¨ Trial and error
β¨ Problem solving under pressure
And letβs just sayβ¦ some designs survived, and some absolutely flew apart ππ¨
This is what real STEM looks like:
Build. Test. Fail. Improve. Repeat. π

Testing our cricket wicket STEM challenge buildβ¦ sometimes science gets a little chaotic ππ
One minute Kyle is ready for the perfect trial, the next minute Charlie the dog decides heβs part of the experiment and runs right through it πΆπ¨
Thatβs why real scientists do MULTIPLE trials.
Because anything can become an error variableβ¦ even a dog π
Trial. Fail. Laugh. Retest. Repeat. π¬β¨

ππ§ͺ MELTING JELLO WITH SCIENCE?! π
Today I experimented with Jello, fresh pineapple, and papayaβ¦ and watched the Jello literally start breaking down! π€―
Both pineapple and papaya contain powerful enzymes that βmeltβ gelatin, which is why the Jello doesnβt set the same way. Science is everywhere β even in your kitchen β¨
Simple experiment. Shocking results.
Definitely one of my favorite food science activities! ππ

ππ§ͺ SCIENCE YOU CAN EAT! β¨
Today we experimented with adding fresh pineapple to Jelloβ¦ and the results surprised everyone! π
Why didnβt the Jello set properly? The kids learned that fresh pineapple contains special enzymes that break down gelatin! π€―
Science becomes SO much more exciting when kids can see, touch, and taste the experiment themselves. π¬π

πΈβ¨ We turned everyday materials into MUSIC! β¨πΈ
Today our young creators designed and built their own guitars using tissue boxes, paper towel rolls, rubber bands, and LOTS of imagination! π¨π οΈ
Not only did we decorate them with colorful designs and creativity, but we also explored how sound and vibrations work when the rubber bands are plucked! πΆπ¬
Who knew a cardboard box could become a mini concert stage? π
Hands-on learning like this helps children build creativity, confidence, problem-solving skills, and a love for science and art all at once. π‘β€οΈ

πβ‘ From Potential Energy to Motion! β‘π
Today in class, our young engineers built their very own rubber band powered cars using cardboard, pencils, CDs, and lots of creativity! π οΈπ¨
Students explored how potential energy stored in a stretched rubber band transforms into kinetic energy as the car races forward. Science + engineering + fun = the perfect hands-on learning experience! π¬π‘
The excitement, problem-solving, and teamwork in the room were incredible. Some cars zoomed across the classroom faster than expected! π
At Curious Minds Club, we learn by building, testing, and discovering. π
