Today in class we turned ordinary garden rocks into MARBLE masterpieces using nail polish! 🎨🪨✨

We learned all about rocks — how they are formed, the different types, and how nature creates unique patterns over time. Then we became little geologists + artists by using water and drops of nail polish to create beautiful marble designs on our garden stones! 🌈💅

The best part? No two rocks turned out the same! Every swirl, splash, and dip created a completely unique masterpiece. Watching the polish spread across the water before dipping the rocks was SO satisfying 😍

Science + creativity = the perfect combo 💡🎨

These colorful rocks are perfect for gardens, fairy paths, plant pots, or hidden kindness rocks around town! 🌸🪴

🇺🇸✨ Today in class we made Memorial Day Rice Krispy Treats! ✨🇺🇸

Our young chefs turned a simple snack into a fun STEM-inspired activity by learning how ingredients change when heated and mixed together! 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

First, we melted butter and marshmallows to create a gooey mixture, then added crispy rice cereal and mixed everything together. After that, we separated the treats into red, white, and blue layers to create a patriotic dessert perfect for Memorial Day weekend! ❤️🤍💙

The best part? Decorating and taste-testing, of course! 😋

Hands-on activities like this help kids practice: ✨ Measuring skills
✨ Following directions
✨ Teamwork
✨ Creativity
✨ Fine motor skills

And yes… the classroom smelled AMAZING! 😂🇺🇸

🏏💥 TODAY’S STEM CHALLENGE: CRICKET WICKET KNOCKDOWN ENGINEERING DESIGN!

Our students became engineers today by designing and testing a cricket wicket knockdown system using creativity, physics, and teamwork 🔬⚙️

The goal?
Build a design strong enough to stand… but accurate enough to be knocked down with the perfect hit 🎯

Students explored: ✨ Engineering design
✨ Force & motion
✨ Accuracy and angles
✨ Trial and error
✨ Problem solving under pressure

And let’s just say… some designs survived, and some absolutely flew apart 😂💨

Testing our cricket wicket STEM challenge build… sometimes science gets a little chaotic 😂🏏

One minute Kyle is ready for the perfect trial, the next minute Charlie the dog decides he’s part of the experiment and runs right through it 🐶💨

🍍🧪 MELTING JELLO WITH SCIENCE?! 👀

Today I experimented with Jello, fresh pineapple, and papaya… and watched the Jello literally start breaking down! 🤯

Both pineapple and papaya contain powerful enzymes that “melt” gelatin, which is why the Jello doesn’t set the same way. Science is everywhere — even in your kitchen ✨

Simple experiment. Shocking results.
Definitely one of my favorite food science activities! 🍍💛

🍍🧪 SCIENCE YOU CAN EAT! ✨

Today we experimented with adding fresh pineapple to Jello… and the results surprised everyone! 👀
Why didn’t the Jello set properly? The kids learned that fresh pineapple contains special enzymes that break down gelatin! 🤯

Science becomes SO much more exciting when kids can see, touch, and taste the experiment themselves. 🔬🍍

Hands-on learning + curious minds = the best combination ❤️
