SJA Robotics is a new club participating in FIRST Robotics! SJA Robotics is a new club that is participating in FIRST Robotics competition this spring.

This is a varsity Sport for the MindTM, FRC combines the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. Under strict rules, limited resources, and time limits, teams of 25 students or more are challenged to raise funds, design a team "brand," hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. It’s as close to "real-world engineering" as a student can get.

After taking a few weeks off after competition, the team met yesterday and has come up with a wish list of things they would like for next year:
- a mobile cart to get the robot around the competition
- a drill
- a tool box
- materials to make 3 movable walls (for the pit)
- a trailer for carrying the robot and tools to and from competition
- a set of allen wrenches
- another socket set

Very proud of the team. After the qualifying rounds, they finished 13 out 60! Way to go Flashes!

What a fantastic first day of competition!! At the end of day one, the team is ranked #9 out of 60 teams!!! Two more rounds tomorrow morning before the quarter finals are announced around noon tomorrow!
