Ms. Nicole of our 1-year-old class brought her own baby chicks to school today! 🐤
We include wildlife and nature in our lessons as much as we can because it benefits a child’s sensory development, empathy, and stimulates cognitive curiosity!

Teacher Spotlight ⭐️

Miss Shae is the lead teacher for our three-year-old classroom. She has brought so much joy and light to every classroom she’s assisted in and has taken on the role of lead teacher recently, giving it her all. She teaches her Drizzles class their colors in ASL, english and spanish, a letter and number weekly as well as a weekly bible story. Her students have benefitted so much from her consistency and love. Every child and teacher she works with daily absolutely adore her and for good reason.

While on the playground with her class, she constantly hears things like “Hey, Miss Shae!” “ Miss Shae look at my shoes!” “Miss Shae look how fast I can run!” from every other class that passes through. And she answers every single one with a smile! 😂

We couldn’t love her more. 🩷

He is risen! We thank the Lord everyday for the opportunity to teach young hearts and minds about the love of Jesus. 🌷

Our first VPK art show was an absolute blast! 🖌️🎨 Our students poured their hearts into every single piece of art, embracing different styles, existing artists, and various mediums/processes. Witnessing their confidence as they showcased their masterpieces to their families was so inspiring. Thank you to all who attended and helped make this night so special.

A huge thank you to Shores Nutrition for providing our teachers with a delightful and nutritious drink, perfect for a mid-morning boost. 🩵

Teacher Spotlight⭐️

Our amazing and inspiring Ms. Britton is on her 6th year here at RRLC! She taught our one year old class for two years, our 3/4s class for two years and is now one of our VPK teachers. She has been a consistent light and supportive friend to everyone around her.

When she’s not helping teachers hang things straight on their classroom walls or building shelves and tables and play stands, she’s leading every morning circle time and teaching the artist of the month to our VPK class. She has introduced so many mediums and art processes like mosaics, paper mache, watercolor, sculptures and more! The children absolutely adore her and have so much fun creating something new inspired by existing artists. She has done every art project with the students this year in preparation for our VPK art show this Friday. 🎨

We can always rely on Ms. Britton to help whenever she can and make us laugh while doing it. We are so beyond proud to have such a beautiful soul on our team. 💚

Enjoying the first day of spring by releasing our butterflies! We even got to see one of them use their proboscis to drink from a flower in our garden 🌷🦋

Green food tasting was a hit (and miss) on St. Patrick’s day for our 3’s and VPK rooms 😂🥦🥬🥒🍏

Ms. Courtney and Ms. Amy have created a fun and loving environment for our two-year-olds through engaging activities every day and manage to coordinate outfits on top of it all! 😍❤️

Teacher Spotlight ⭐️🤩

Ms. Shawna has spent 4 years inspiring young minds, nurturing growth, and fostering a sense of belonging across all ages here at RRLC. With 17 years of experience as a foster parent and preschool teacher, she has touched countless lives, spreading joy and making a lasting impact on each child in her care. There is no shortage of children who have her to thank for a full heart.

Through her weekly ASL lessons in each class, she empowers every child to have confidence and pride in what they have learned. They cant wait to immediately show their other teachers what Ms. Shawna taught them.

We are so grateful to work with such a special person, devoted mother, loving wife, and cherished 'Nah Nah', who inspires us all with her commitment to making childhoods better.
