🧸 Pretend Play

Pretend play helps children use imagination and flexible thinking.

Examples:
• Feeding a doll
• Giving a stuffed animal a bath
• Pretending a block is a phone
• Playing teacher or doctor

Many autistic children need extra support to develop pretend play.

Start small:
➡️ Feed the doll
➡️ Put the doll to bed
➡️ Give the doll a drink

One simple pretend action can become a whole story over time.

Every dollar helps. We have a few supporters who have reached out to their family and friends and been able to donate hundreds of dollars in just a few days. Think, if you asked 10 friends to donate $10 that would be $100. If you asked 10 friends to donate $25 dollars that would be $250. While $250 may be a lot for one family, $10 or $25 is manageable. Again any amount helps.

A little over four years ago, Soundwave MT was founded. We have expanded across North East Florida over the years and are endlessly grateful to continue to serve all of our incredible clients, families, and communities.

We have been located in multiple office spaces, provided services in homes, facilities, clinics, and community centers, etc. with the goal of one day being able to make this announcement.

We are proud to announce the Soundwave MT Clinic! This clinic will allow group and individual Music Therapy services on site.

We are now accepting in-office INDIVIDUAL and GROUP inquiries to begin services on the start date of July 1st in our Clinic Location in St. Johns County, FL!

The clinic will be located in the beautiful World Golf Village

*Please note that we will continue to provide services in ALL current home and facilities. Additionally, our Blanding location will remain open and continue to expand and service North and West Jacksonville!
