We hope you're enjoying a wonderful summer, Wilshire Park Families! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿผ

As we look ahead to another great school year, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate what our Wilshire Park community accomplished together during the 2025-2026 school year.

Thanks to the support of families and volunteers, the Wilshire Park Parents Association (WPPA) was able to:

โญ๏ธ Provide every classroom teacher with up to $200 in classroom start-up funds to enhance learning for students.
โญ๏ธ Bring families together through Family Movie Night, Fun Fest, Panda Parent Palooza, and Ice Cream & Food Trucks at the Art Show.
โญ๏ธ Host two community meetings where families connected with school leaders and learned about what's happening at Wilshire Park.
โญ๏ธ Launch a new online Spirit Wear store, a year-round alternative to the one-time back-to-school night spirit wear sale.
โญ๏ธ Celebrate our amazing teachers and staff with three appreciation lunches, a coffee cart and donuts, dinner during conferences, treats, and more.

None of this happens without parent volunteers. Whether you have an hour once a year or want to take on a larger role, we'd love to have you involved.

There are opportunities for all interests and time commitments, including:

๐ŸŽ‰ Planning Events โ€“ Help on a team to organize one or more of our events like Fun Fest, Family Movie Night, or bring a new idea to life.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Fundraising โ€“ Help explore, develop and implement fundraising opportunities.

๐Ÿ‘• Spirit Wear โ€“ Support and assist with promotions, sharing ideas, and encouraging school pride throughout the year.

๐Ÿ“– Yearbook โ€“ Support the yearbook team.

๐Ÿ™‹ Volunteer Engagement โ€“ Welcome new volunteers and help connect families with opportunities to get involved.

๐ŸŽ School Staff Appreciation โ€“ Help plan and coordinate appreciation activities, including meals, treats, and special recognition events throughout the year.

Interested in learning more? ๐Ÿ‘‰ Fill out our short interest form (there's no commitment!), and a WPPA board member will reach out to answer questions and help you find a role that's a good fit.

Thank you for being part of the Wilshire Park community. We can't wait to continue making our school an incredible place for students, staff, and families.๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿผ

Thanks for your interest in getting more involved with WPPA! Whether you have an hour to help at an event, want to join a committee, or are simply curious to learn more, we'd love to connect.
