We are closed today & tomorrow (Thurs & Fri) to take Monte Later, the co-founder of the Yellowstone Institute, to attend the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Institute. Our Directors, Daniel & Kara Hidalgo, lead an artist retreat in Yellowstone Park for the Institute called "Painting Moran's Yellowstone".

A huge THANK YOU to Saint Agony Brewing Company for hosting a Mug Club fundraiser for us. What an amazing group of civic leaders who came out to support your community art center. The Lab runs on about $50,000 a year. We couldn't do it without your support & our staff of volunteers ❤️

(Notice there is free demo the night before)

On Saturday, Sept. 26, 9:00am - 4:00pm, Sherian will teach a clay workshop using water-based clay. She will teach you how to slab clay in a way that prevents cracks, cut the clay for proper joints, carve openings, add textures, attached add-ons, give you tips for drying then painting, staining, etc. Create a replica of you house or cabin or get creative!

$150.00 includes the clay, use of house templates, texture stamps, etc. Your piece will then be kiln fired free of charge, ready for you to pick up at our St. Anthony location where you can use Sherian's painting tips to paint your house.

Bring a lunch & drink, photos of a house that interests you and any texture stamps you might have.

After a (free) morning artist lecture from 9:00 - 10:00ish, Gloria will offer a hands-on negative space workshop ($150) starting at 10:30am.

You will learn how to build shape, structure and depth using watercolors starting at 10:30am. You'll learn how to carve out shapes, build structure, establish strong underlying compositions and learn how to glaze, applying color layering to enhance visual depth and dimension.

$150.00, all materials included. Feel free to bring your own watercolors, paper and brushes if you'd like. Bring a lunch and a drink.
