Today was New Teacher Orientation breakfast hosted at Drummond! We are so excited to welcome an amazing set of new educators this upcoming school year. We are missing our new AP, DTS, and permanent substitute in this photo. It is going to be a great year at Drummond!

We have another fourth grade teacher to welcome to Drummond. Ms. Cue will round out the fourth grade team, and we cannot wait to have her join the team!

My major is Elementary Education, I went to SEMO, and I am a first year! Some of my hobbies are spending time with my family, friends, and my pets! In my free time I love to read, catch up on tv shows, and go on walks!

To wrap up the week, we want to welcome Ms. Bitner to the first grade team at Drummond! She is going to be a great addition to our team and we are excited to have her work with our Dragons in the fall.

Hi everyone! My name is Ms.Bitner... soon to be Mrs.Salser. I am so excited to start my first year teaching at Drummond Elementary! I originally graduated from University of Missouri- St. Louis with a B.S. in Psychology. In that time, I also swam on the women's swim team. After using my degree for a while, I was called to teaching. I went back to UMSL to get my teaching certificate and I am currently pursuing my masters! This year will be my first year teaching. I will be teaching first grade, which is my dream! I love to do all things outdoors and active. I can't wait to meet all of the kiddos in the fall!

Let's welcome another new to Drummond, but not new to teaching, staff member! Ms. Sweet is going to be joining our fourth grade team, and we are very excited to have her working with our upper elementary students.

Hi! My name is Ms. Sweet, and I am so excited to be joining the Pattonville School District! I previously taught 4th grade for four years in Illinois, and I will be teaching 4th grade at Drummond this upcoming school year.

I attended Southeast Missouri State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education, and my master’s degree in Educational Leadership. It’s hard to believe this will already be my fifth year of teaching!

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, shopping, spending time with my friends and family, and exercising.

I can’t wait for the school year to begin and to get to know all of the amazing students, families, and staff who make up the Drummond community. Go Dragons!

Another new staff member to welcome! We are excited to have a new third grade teacher joining us. Ms. Hutson is going to be joining us from a neighboring school district, and we are so excited to have her!

Hi everyone!
My name is Jenna Hutson and I will be teaching third grade at Drummond this coming school year. I have my bachelor’s in elementary education, as well as my master’s in educational technology, both from Lindenwood University. This will be my sixth year teaching, and I can’t wait to begin this journey with Pattonville! When I’m not at school, you can find me exploring the St. Louis restaurant scene, reading a book, or cuddling up with my dog, Gibbs.

Staying in the area of fine arts, we also have a new art teacher to welcome! Mrs. Ghidina is coming to Drummond with teaching experience, and will be a wonderful addition to our art department. We are excited to welcome her!

Hello, I'm Mrs. Ghidina! I am thrilled to be joining the Pattonville community! I earned my BS in Creative Writing, with a minor in Studio Art, from Hendrix College, my MA in Education and Innovation from Webster University, and completed my teacher certification through Lindenwood University. Some career highlights include a tenure teaching at the St. Louis Zoo, and working for an art restoration company, which I still do during the summer! Currently, my favorite art medium is sculpture, but I also have a professional background in drawing, painting, and multi-media. I look forward to meeting your young artists this fall!

Drummond is very excited to welcome a new music teacher to the Dragon family. Mr. Robinson is going to be joining our music department this upcoming school year. Please help us welcome him!

Hello, I am Mr. Robinson and I am excited to join the music program at Drummond and begin working with students this year. I earned my degree in Music Education at Southeast Missouri State University. This is my first year teaching and I have a passion for helping students grow as confident and creative musicians. I work as a private and group instructor with the Pianos For People Organization. I currently serve as the choir director and organist as well! Outside of music and the classroom, I enjoy watching my favorite football team the Pittsburgh Steelers. I enjoy playing board games and I’m always up for friendly competition. Another fun fact is that I love Raising Canes!
