Congratulations to the Holman 8th grade and their 1 / Superior rating at the Six Flags music festival. The band prepared two songs for evaluation by three judges, two of which were college professors. This is the highest rating a group can earn at the music festival. Out of 17 groups, only four received a 1 rating, one of which was a high school band. Students also got to spend time riding rides and making memories with friends. A big thank you to the parent chaperones that attended the trip and Pattonville transportation for driving us.

On April 11th, Holman hosted the annual All Suburban Middle School Solo and Ensemble Festival. Approximately 1,500 students in grades 6-8 in Band, Choir, and Orchestra attend the event from all over the region to perform for judge feedback and ratings. The PHS Band Boosters were gracious enough to provide concessions throughout the day. Holman student volunteer workers also received many compliments on their assistance as room monitors. It was a great day for everyone involved in making music. Holman has hosted this event since the early 1990s.

The PTA is working hard to plan a fantastic 8th Grade Celebration! Look out for more detailed information and specific dates soon. Please mark your calendars for May 2nd at the Maryland Heights Community Center as we honor our graduating 8th graders.
