September marks 6 years since we lost Remy. 💙

What started as a mother’s heartbreak turned into a mission to save lives.

The Remy Hidalgo Foundation, founded by me, Remy’s mom, has been going strong for the past 5 years. In that time, we have made great strides through:

🧊 Donations of cold-water immersion tubs to schools and athletic programs
🌡️ Donations of WBGT devices to help monitor dangerous heat conditions
📚 Education on exertional heat stroke, prevention, signs and symptoms
📢 Advocacy for safer practices for student-athletes
⚖️ And the passing of the Remy Hidalgo Law, helping put important safety measures into place across Louisiana

I will continue to turn the most heartbreaking chapter of my life into something that can help protect others.

As we approach the 6-year anniversary of losing Remy, I am asking our community to help us continue this mission. Any amount of support makes a difference and helps us continue providing education, equipment and awareness while carrying Remy’s legacy forward.

I never want another family to experience the loss that ours has.

Another successful physical day for the Gators! Our awesome students along with BROC - Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic Bourgeois Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab and Our Lady of the Lake partners did physicals for 404 athletes to make sure they are healthy for next season! 💛🖤🐊
