Congratulations to 3rd grade, who won this week’s attendance challenge with 95.5%! They beat 2nd grade by only half a percentβ€”way to go, 3rd grade! Every day matters, and we appreciate your efforts to be here when you’re able.

πŸ“£ LSIC Feeder Area Meeting β€” Monday
A reminder to all Central grown-ups: Tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. at SAHS is the Saint Albans Feeder Area Local School Improvement Council Meeting. This is your chance to share your voice and hear about important topics impacting our schools. We hope you’ll join us!

πŸ’» iPad Exchange β€” Tuesday (Grades 3–5)
Students in grades 3–5 will exchange their iPads on Tuesday. Please ensure your student brings the iPad and both parts of the charger to avoid county fees. More details are available in the attached flyer.

There is no school for students this Wednesday due to a Staff Professional Development Day.

🎭 Nutcracker Field Trip β€” Thursday
2nd and 3rd grade students will attend The Nutcracker on Thursday. Permission forms and payments must be turned in for students to attend. We cannot call home for permission, so please check those backpacks!

🎁 Santa’s Workshop β€” All Week
Santa’s Workshop runs all week long! Student shopping items range from $0.50–$13.00.
If you’d like to volunteer, Class Dojo has several spots still availableβ€”please take a look!

Attached is the school schedule for Santa's Workshop. There are a huge variety of items for students to choose from, ranging in price from .50 to $13.50. All students have received a budgeting envelope, which we highly encourage you to use to send money to school in. Please make sure you label the envelope with your students name and information as well as any preferences you may have for their budget.

We still need plenty of help tomorrow setting up and all next week for shopping, so if you'd like to help out, please sign up now!

Congratulations to Connor R., our 2024–2025 School Spelling Bee Champion! He will proudly represent Central in the Kanawha County Spelling Bee this January.

We also congratulate our runner-up, Able S., who will serve as our alternate.

A big round of applause to all our participants β€” we are so proud of each of you!

4th grade has FINALLY taken the lead, winning the weekly attendance challenge with 93.5%! 2nd grade followed closely with 93%.

Every day matters, and we appreciate families keeping students home when sick and sending them when they can attend.

🐐 The Attendance G.O.A.T. trophy will be delivered to 4th grade tomorrow!

⭐ Club Day β€” This Tuesday!

For the safety of all students, please do NOT drop students off in the crosswalk.

The crosswalk is for walking only. We have had several near misses, and we want everyone safe.

⭐ Veterans Day Program Appreciation
A huge thank-you to our incredible 2nd grade teachers and students for the wonderful Veterans Day performance on Friday. Everyone did a remarkable job, and our families, Veterans, and First Responders loved it!

🐐 Attendance Shout-Out
Congratulations again to 2nd grade for winning the weekly attendance competition with 94%! They'll be keeping the Attendance G.O.A.T. in their classrooms another week! If you haven’t heard about our new G.O.A.T., ask your Buffalo β€” he definitely made an impression when he arrived at Central!
