2023 High School Seniors! 🎓 While the Promise application and are due by May 1, current seniors have until June 2023 to earn qualifying SAT scores and July 2023 to earn qualifying ACT scores to be eligible to receive Promise this fall. Students also are able to use “superscoring” to meet the eligibility requirements, meaning that they can take sub-scores from different tests they’ve taken to get an overall score that is higher than an individual test score.

The Promise Scholarship application and requirements are available at collegeforwv.com/promise. The FAFSA is free and available through the U.S. Department of Education at fafsa.gov.

Attention Class of 2023 !

The WV Higher Education Policy Commission voted to approve an extension of the deadline to apply for the Promise Scholarship for the class of 2023 to May 1, 2023. The 2023 Promise application and 2023-2024 FAFSA must be filed by May 1, 2023. The academic requirements have not changed. Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements to qualify. SENIORS:
Many of you still have not completed your FAFSA nor your Promise Scholarship application. The deadline is MARCH 1 for both. Do not wait until the last minute. Many students have had trouble creating accounts so you need to allow time to troubleshoot any problems you may encounter. Some issues have taken as long as a week to fix. You need to apply NOW in case you run into any issues.

Mrs. Price posted a video tutorial on Thursday, Feb. 2 to help you. It’s on schoology class of 2023. Please get this done today.

This merit-based scholarship provides eligible students up to $5,000 to cover the cost of tuition and mandatory fees at higher education institutions all across the state. Attention Red Dragon Scholars❤️🖤❤️🖤

This is a message from Kanawha County Schools. KCS will operate under a two-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 31st­. All students will begin their day two hours later than normal. Buses will pick up students two hours later than the normal pick-up time. All morning secondary career and technical classes will be canceled. Schools will dismiss at normal time in the afternoon.

All employees are to report to work at their normal time. If they run into a problem, they should notify their immediate supervisor. Thank you.
