TEACHER ANNOUNCEMENT! GRACE OLDS 🩰 Grace will be teaching classes in our Young Dancer Program… Classes start Sept 14, Registration open! Read more about Grace!
Grace is a first grade school teacher at St. Albans Town Educational Center and an alumni of The Ballet School of Vermont (BSVT) and its non-profit student company, Northern Vermont Ballet (NVB). Grace began her ballet training at BSVT at age 6, and continued training full time until age 18. Grace was a student teacher for BSVT’s young dancer program, for several years, under the guidance of Maryellen Vickery, who uses the American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum at all the levels for BSVT. Grace started teaching her own classes in 2018, before going to university. Teaching ballet was what sparked her love for being a teacher and working with children. While a student at BSVT, Grace competed in Youth American Grand Prix Boston twice, along with dancing lead and supporting roles for BSVT and NVB. Grace graduated from Vermont State University Castleton, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. She lives in St. Albans, and is excited to be back teaching for the young dancer program at BSVT.

Congratulations to our students who just got their pointe shoes. What hard work they did over the years to accomplish this 🩰 my favorite thing about the last two weeks of their intensive was all the “aha!” moments. Congratulations students. Videos of the last two weeks to follow. Classes are ready to register for Fall. Come join us🩰❤️🩰

Happy 250th birthday America! We wish everyone a safe, fun, holiday week celebrating US. May freedom ring 🇺🇸 Cheers to all of the small businesses in America that make this country great. Did you know, ballet first came to America in the 18th century 🩰 A European touring troupe performed the first ballet here in 1735 in the colony of Charleston, South Carolina. Americans should be proud of our rich history in the arts.
