As a pastor’s daughter she would take care of the children at church. Reading with them as well as playing, coloring, crafts, and teaching were her responsibilities. Jobs while in high school were cleaning houses and watching over children. Making meals, helping with homework and attending everyday responsibilities. She worked at a daycare for over a year in Sahuarita helping with the care, readin
g, cleaning, feeding, playing, activities, and organization of all ages. Laura worked at the Sahuarita High School for over 2 years as the assistant principal secretary. Daily work required, office management as well as day to day helping students and parents at the front desk. Joseph has worked as a self-employed landscaper for over 5 years, Studied at Pima Community Collage for 3 years in illustration graphic design. Worked at Child Family Resources and Agrinova Science as a graphic artist. We both were involved in full time foster care for more than 7 years. There have been children with behaviors ranging from well mannered to therapeutic. Children with a wide variety of different backgrounds, issue, and circumstances. We have special training and certificates for behavior management, de-escalating, problem solving, negotiation, self-control and more. We are certified in CPR, First Aid and ARD. DES certification is pending. Laura has been working for the past 2 years in an English academy for children called Mortimer English Club. Considered an afterschool program. Caring for up to 8 children per class per hour. This consisted of creating, learning, reading, and writing in a fun, dynamic atmosphere. She is still involved with children’s care at her local church. We have been living in Almeria, Spain for the past 3 years and have decided to return home and create something we love, and to do it together.
