As a pastor’s daughter she would take care of the children at church. Reading with them as well as playing, coloring, crafts, and teaching were her responsibilities. Jobs while in high school were cleaning houses and watching over children. Making meals, helping with homework and attending everyday responsibilities. She worked at a daycare for over a year in Sahuarita helping with the care, readin

g, cleaning, feeding, playing, activities, and organization of all ages. Laura worked at the Sahuarita High School for over 2 years as the assistant principal secretary. Daily work required, office management as well as day to day helping students and parents at the front desk. Joseph has worked as a self-employed landscaper for over 5 years, Studied at Pima Community Collage for 3 years in illustration graphic design. Worked at Child Family Resources and Agrinova Science as a graphic artist. We both were involved in full time foster care for more than 7 years. There have been children with behaviors ranging from well mannered to therapeutic. Children with a wide variety of different backgrounds, issue, and circumstances. We have special training and certificates for behavior management, de-escalating, problem solving, negotiation, self-control and more. We are certified in CPR, First Aid and ARD. DES certification is pending. Laura has been working for the past 2 years in an English academy for children called Mortimer English Club. Considered an afterschool program. Caring for up to 8 children per class per hour. This consisted of creating, learning, reading, and writing in a fun, dynamic atmosphere. She is still involved with children’s care at her local church. We have been living in Almeria, Spain for the past 3 years and have decided to return home and create something we love, and to do it together. 🌈 Simple activity. So much learning!

Today we tried a fun building activity, and watching the children work together was the best part. ❤️

As they carefully added each craft stick, they were practicing so much more than just building:

🧠 Problem-solving — figuring out where each piece should go
⚖️ Balance & spatial awareness — seeing what works and what doesn’t
🤝 Teamwork — working together toward the same goal
✋ Fine-motor skills — carefully placing and adjusting each stick
💬 Communication — sharing ideas and helping one another
💪 Patience & persistence — continuing even when it got tricky

Young children learn best when they can touch, experiment, make mistakes, try again, and experience the result for themselves.

And sometimes, all it takes is a few craft sticks to create a pretty BIG learning experience! 🌈🥰

❤️ What a special surprise we had today! ❤️

Today, we had a visit that truly made our hearts happy. 🥹

After 7 years, one of our former Little Learning Lambs kids came back to visit us! Look how grown up he is! 🥹❤️

The picture he’s holding was a gift his mom gave me before their family moved out of state all those years ago. And today, he got to hold that same picture again. 🥹

But the sweetest part? He still remembers us. ❤️

This is one of those moments that reminds me why I love what I do so much. We may only have these little ones in our care for a season, but the relationships, memories, and love can last for many, many years.

Watching them grow up and having them come back to say hello is something truly special. ❤️

Once a Little Learning Lamb, always a Little Learning Lamb. 🥰

Our messy tables are where little hands get busy and big learning happens. ❤️
While the kids are cutting, gluing, creating, and playing, they’re also developing fine motor skills, creativity, problem-solving, hand-eye coordination, and confidence — all through something that feels like play.
At Little Learning Lambs, we believe children learn best when they have the freedom to explore, experiment, make a little mess, and have fun along the way. 💛

To all our parents: you’re doing a wonderful job.�Some mornings are easy, some are rushed, and some days simply don’t go as planned — but your little ones don’t need perfect days.
They need love, encouragement, consistency, and people who believe in them. ❤️
Here at Little Learning Lambs, our hope is that every child who walks through our doors feels safe, loved, capable, and excited to learn.
