Dear Families;
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year for Saginaw Public Schools. I am excited to begin this school year, as we will be continuing our quest to maintain a 21st century school system while staying future focused on programming, staff development, facilities, equipment, and resources.
That commitment includes improved and enhanced technology, innovative programming, increased dual enrollment and work based learning opportunities. In addition, our staffing efforts will be focused on enhancing social emotional support, and providing additional course offerings and electives. We will continue to deliver the curriculum both digitally and through traditional hard copy formats as we have seen significant growth in our studentsβ assessment data. All construction from Bond 2020 has been completed, with the final phases of the SASA performing arts center and SASA pool opening this school year. We are certain that the changes we have made to Saginaw Public Schools, will allow students to be successful and competitive in a 21st century global economy. Through hard work, communication, and collaboration, we will continue to make Saginaw Public Schools one of the best school systems in the region, increasing student academic achievement, college acceptance rates, graduation rates, and students that are prepared to enter the military and/or workforce.
Our collective efforts and relentless consistency will continue to assist in advancing our school district and community. We will continue to strive to provide the strongest educational program possible, and create consistent opportunities for our students to learn and grow. We will continue to create strong community partnerships that will assist and support our studentsβ development.
Thank you for choosing Saginaw Public Schools as the place to educate your child. If you need assistance in any area, I encourage you to contact a member of our staff. We are eager to provide you with any information and/or support, which can enhance the educational experience of your child.
We look forward to welcoming all of our students back to school on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Sincerely
Ramont M. Roberts, Ph.D.
