We had 4 brave elementary students join the older runners on Saturday to compete in the 1200 meter Al Kayner Cross Country race at Delta College. Ryan D. led the team with a time of 6:41. O'Shea R. finished at 7:06, while Luke M. was right behind with 7:09, and Olivia R. at 8:38. Way to go, Panthers!

4-0!! Our 7th grade girls basketball team is on fire with a big over Alma last night. Now it’s time to keep the momentum going. They play again tomorrow, September 23rd at 4:30 at the elementary gym. The 8th grade team plays right after them at 5:30. Let’s cheer on our girls and make some noise!

Our cross country team didn’t let a little rain on Saturday stop them from posting amazing results! Our high school team ran the 2 mile course at the Al Kayner Cross Country race at Delta College.

Abram Fettig lead the boys taking 1st for Division 3/4 with a time of 10:08. Sebastian Warr set a new personal record with 16:46.

Claire Long lead the girls’ team finishing with a time of 13:57 and taking 4th overall for Division 3/4. Sarah Witten (14:42), Sierra Schlicker (16:06) and Vivian Warzark (17:44) all set personal records today!

On Saturday, our cross country teams ran in the 57th Annual Al Kayner/Delta Invitational! The rain couldn't slow down our Nouvel Panthers, who showed incredible toughness and focus on a wet, slick course. For the middle school team made up of 6th through 8th graders, we are excited to share these incredible results:

- Jack W. led the way with a fantastic time of 14:00.0! With this personal best, Jack officially broke his own all-time 6th grade boys' 2-mile school record!
- Lucas R. put in a strong performance, crossing the line in 17:54.9.
- Cash B. battled the elements and finished in 21:44.8.
- Hadley W. led our girls' squad, finishing in 17:56.8.
- Vivian R. fought through the rain to earn a personal best of 20:14.0!
- Drew J. also secured a great personal best, finishing in 22:07.5!

It’s a BIG week for our Panthers! Our athletes are ready for a busy week filled with competition, teamwork and plenty of Panther pride. There’s no shortage of opportunities to cheer on our teams this week!

This morning, our varsity boys tennis team gathered together for Mass at Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption. We are grateful for opportunities like these to pause, pray and grow together, not only as teammates, but as a Panther family. May God continue to guide our student-athletes both on the court and in all that they do.

A Game to Remember to coming up for our fall sports. It is an opportunity to come together in hope, in honor and in memory of someone special. Money raised from the games supports MyMichigan Saginaw's Breast Cancer Fund. We ask for forms to be turned in this week. VALLEY EDGES NOUVEL IN VARSITY FOOTBALL: The Nouvel varsity football team came up just short against undefeated Valley Lutheran on Friday, falling 31-28 at Boyd Field.

The score was knotted at 28 when the clock ran out but the Chargers prevailed thanks to a 24-yard field goal in overtime.

The Panthers move to 1-3 on the season, while Valley Lutheran improves to 4-0. Game statistics were not avaliable at the time of this post.

A Panther Roar to the dedicated group of people who raised the funds to install the outstanding new lighting system that debuted at Boyd Field on Friday. We owe them a tremendous debt of gratitude for giving our school one of the finest outdoor lighting systems in the region and enhancing the game-night experience for Panthers today and for years to come. Thank you all!

Next Friday, the Panthers hit the road to face conference rival Michigan Lutheran Seminary. The Cardinals enter the matchup at 2-2 after falling to Ithaca, 47-6, on Friday. Click the collage to see a few pictures from the game.

FIVE PRs HIGHLIGHT IMPRESSIVE DAY FOR PANTHER CROSS COUNTRY SQUAD: Nouvel sophomore Abram Fettig won the Blue Division boys race and finished second overall at Tuesday’s TVC Cross-Country Jamboree at Hemlock High School (see previous Facebook post), highlighting a strong day for the Panthers that included five personal records and a season-best performance.

Sierra Schlicker, Sarah Witten, Nana Ama Yeboah, Daniel Malott and Sam Gipson each set personal records and Sebastian Warr turned in his best time of the season.

Witten was the third-fastest freshman girl in the Blue Division field, while Malott posted the fourth-fastest time among sophomore boys in the division. It was an impressive showing for a young and promising Nouvel cross country team.

FETTIG WINS TVC BLUE DIVISION XC RACE AT HEMLOCK: Congratulations to Nouvel sophomore Abram Fettig who raced to first place in the Blue Division and second place overall at the Tri-Valley Conference Jamboree Meet No. 1 at Hemlock High School on Sept. 15, 2026. Fettig recorded a blazing 16:18 and is shown here making his final drive to the finish line.
