On August 4, the Heritage High School Varsity Pompon Team celebrated its incredible Back-to-Back Class A Division 1 State Championship with a special ring ceremony.
Assistant Principal Kraatz congratulated the athletes and their families, recognizing the dedication, perseverance, and resilience that led to this remarkable achievement. Behind every championship performance are countless hours of hard work. This team trained approximately three hours a day, six days a week, for nine months of the year, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Congratulations to these outstanding student-athletes on earning their championship rings and leaving a lasting legacy at Heritage High School. Your determination, teamwork, and passion continue to make our district proud!

During National Night Out in Saginaw Township, graduates of the White Pine Middle School Youth Leadership Academy were recognized for completing an extraordinary summer of learning, service, and leadership. Made possible through the partnership between White Pine Middle School and the Saginaw Township Police Department, the academy gives students the opportunity to grow as leaders while building meaningful relationships with the officers who serve our community.
After completing more than 80 hours of leadership training, volunteering in the community, and leading by example, each student received a certificate and a challenge coin engraved with the words Honor, Truth, and Integrity. These are values they embraced throughout the program.
From fire safety and water safety to courthouse tours, investigation day, and hands-on medical scenarios, students experienced real-world learning that challenged them to think critically, work together, and serve others.
Congratulations to this outstanding group of young leaders! Thank you to the Saginaw Township Police Department for investing in our students and helping shape the next generation of community leaders.

What an incredible evening at National Night Out at the Saginaw Township Soccer Complex!

Families from across our community came together for a night filled with fun, connection, and community spirit. From games, giveaways, delicious food, and live music to cooling off in the spray from a fire truck and watching the exciting helicopter fly-in, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
One of the evening's highlights was recognizing the outstanding students from the White Pine Middle School Youth Leadership Academy, a partnership with the Saginaw Township Police Department that helps students develop leadership skills, confidence, and a heart for service. We also got to meet some incoming Kindergartners!

Thank you to the Saginaw Township Police Department, our public safety partners, volunteers, and everyone who made this year's National Night Out such a memorable celebration. Events like this remind us that strong communities are built through connection, collaboration, and caring for one another.

On Saturday, August 29, the Heritage Hawks will take the field inside the largest stadium in the United States as we open the 2026 football season at the iconic University of Michigan's Michigan Stadium. This is more than just a football game, it's an opportunity for our student-athletes, families, alumni, staff, and community to experience one of college football's most historic venues while cheering on the Hawks.

· Kickoff: 3:30 PM
· All seating is General Admission.
· Seating is first come, first served.
· Michigan Stadium will not be cleared between games.
· Fans attending earlier games may remain inside the stadium throughout the day.
· Public entry is through the Crisler Center Entrance (Gate 1 area).
· University of Michigan parking lots are expected to be available for public parking.
We encourage Heritage fans to arrive early to allow time for parking, security screening, and finding seats before kickoff.

Arrowwood Elementary's Ms. D'Haene and Mrs. Hill, as well as STCS teachers Gary Senkowski and Tracy Kuhn, took part in SVSU's Gerstacker Fellowship Summer Retreat recently for an inspiring day of leadership and professional growth.
Between collaborative book studies and dynamic "Shift and Share" sessions, they spent time exchanging fresh ideas with educators from across the region. Ms. D'Haene presented on the support and learning opportunities happening at Arrowwood Elementary.

We are proud to celebrate Heritage High School's Michaela Hamilton on being crowned Miss Spirit of the State Teen with the Miss America Organization! She will represent her title as she competes for Miss Michigan's Teen next June.
Michaela's community service initiative, Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors, shines a light on food insecurity in our community and across Michigan. With 1 in 6 children in Saginaw County facing food insecurity, Michaela is passionate about educating students on this important issue and is looking forward to supporting the newly opened Saginaw Community Food Club and Kitchen.
A dedicated pageant participant since middle school, Michaela is entering her senior year and continues to use her platform to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
