The 2026 CMU Research Symposium was such a success! Dr. Highhouse, PGY1 was awarded first place for her case report - second trimester hemorrhage management with Jada. Many of our other team members showed up with amazing case reports and posters.

Grand Rounds featured Dr. Orbeck, PGY4 and a comprehensive overview of trauma informed care and evidenced-based pain management for in-office procedures. Her presentation prompted an insightful conversation that can be directly applied to benefit our patients!

Rising chiefs - Dr. Herchran Singh and Dr. Lizzie Deming joined other residents from across the nation at the ACOG CREOG resident workshop hosted in Chicago this weekend. It was a wonderful opportunity to discuss leadership strategies, team culture, and goals for this upcoming year. They had 2 rising 4th years tagalong’s toe as well with Dr. Casey Ross and Dr. Riva Morin. Shoutout to Dr. Will Starbird for holding down the fort on nights, you were missed!

Maternal M&M conferences provide the opportunity to reflect on complex cases and discuss near misses, opportunities for improvement and inter-specialty collaboration. Dr. Forestier presented at our most recent didactics in front of our faculty and resident team. Grateful for the privilege of constant reflection.

Our residents got hands on during their Simsei training for VNOTES hysterectomy. This curriculum primes senior residents and soon to be graduating residents to further implement minimally invasive options for their patients!
