🌿 Rooted by the River — Coming to Michigan Lutheran Seminary

Michigan Lutheran Seminary is excited to host Christian Life Resources’ Rooted by the River Conference on Saturday, September 12, in Saginaw!

Rooted by the River is a one-day pro-life Christian conference created to anchor Christians in God’s Word and equip them to face difficult life and family issues with Christ-centered hope.

Throughout the day, attendees will experience biblical teaching, practical ministry encouragement, and fellowship with fellow Christians who desire to faithfully serve their churches, families, and communities.

🌱 The conference is designed to:
• Equip Christians to respond faithfully to today’s life issues
• Encourage pregnancy center staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders
• Provide practical, gospel-centered teaching for service in church and community

In a world filled with challenging questions and changing messages, Rooted by the River points us back to the solid and unchanging hope we have in Christ.

🔴⚪ Meet the New Faculty – Mark Burger

Next up in our new faculty introductions is another familiar face! Mark Burger returns to Michigan Lutheran Seminary, where he graduated as a member of the Class of 2017. Mark also previously served at MLS as an Admissions Counselor, so he is no stranger to the Cardinal family!

Last week our science teachers, Profs. Ash & Schmitzer, invested in professional growth by attending a conference at the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter! Through presentations, hands-on learning, and interaction with fellow Christian educators, they gained new insights and resources to help students explore God's amazing creation through the lens of Scripture.

Last week 4 students and Professor Pufahl finished up their Project Titus trip in Toronto. The days were filled with music, sightseeing, and fellowship.

MLS in the South!

Pastor Natsis got to share MLS’s mission with the 300+ campers at Camp South in Covington, Georgia. He also got to help worship music, lead Bible study for 4th-6th graders, and even get down in the dirt for a mudder obstacle course. Just a day left—can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Over the next several weeks, we'll introduce the 3 indivduals joining the MLS faculty through a series of questions designed to help you get to know them beyond the classroom.

You'll learn about their families, hometowns, ministry journeys, favorite Bible passages, fun facts, and even what's on their bucket lists. Most importantly, you'll hear how they plan to live out our mission of Encouraging for Ministry. Equipping for Life.
