Art/craft is a release from the modern way of living. It allows us to access the deepest parts of our consciousness and shuts off the social media addicted parts of our selves. It is an escape from the woes of yesterday and fills today with serenity and passion.

A random thought from our director Garrett.
When setting up an exhibition I’m always asked how I meld works of art by different artists so seamlessly together. When asked that question I usually would answer with some super complex educated answer.
When in reality the truest answer is a long time ago I realized every artist is doing the same thing. Every artist is trying to capture the magic of this world. That magic has no inherent emotion, message, story, or idea. The magic gives us the power to create and we give the magic a voice.
When I came to the realization that everything in art exists on the same plane curating became like breathing. I found that as an artist I could become the core of each piece. It wasn’t through the countless hours of creating, or all of the college credits I collected over the course of six years of schooling. I found a new way of seeing and listening; and that lesson was taught by countless conversations and observations of people. Reading books can teach you many things. But, one conversation with a voice of magic in this world can change you forever.
The essence of what I’m saying is this. Every work of art and every person is the same at their core. So the next time you stand in front of another’s work don’t approach it with YOUR VOICE, approach that piece of magic in a state of pure seeing and listening with no preconceived notions of anything.
A wise man once told me that humans create out of necessity. I disagree, I believe we create because we were created. We create because we were born into a world of constant creation and destruction. All artists want to do is give voice to the magic of this world before we are destroyed and have that echo for the rest of existence.
