Why was the jack-o'-lantern afraid? It had no guts! LOL

SCC hosted their annual pumpkin carving contest this week in which each program (morning and afternoon) carved a pumpkin of their choosing. Our morning students were out early today as part of a visit to R&R Ready Mix, where they met with Andy Nye, Quality Control, and Katie Knaub, Human Resources. The students were able to witness the complete process of providing quality concrete to individuals and contractors around the region as well as learn about career opportunities! Michael Verhaeghe

Our construction program received a new piece of equipment this week! Check out this beauty provided by Saginaw County's CTE Millage funds. This SIMLOG simulator will expose our students to possible careers operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, bulldozers, skid steer loaders, and more! Students may also earn certifications that they can take with them after graduation! Look for more updates as we get trained on how to become a virtual operator! No morning classes.

We currently have no power at school. The morning session of classes is cancelled. Power is scheduled to be on before the afternoon classes. We will keep you posted about the afternoon classes once we hear from Consumers.
