We welcomed 60+ new students from 20+ countries at our International Orientation this past week! We are excited to see where these International Cardinals go during their time at SVSU. Go Cards! ❤️

The Office of International Programs had an amazing International Education Week! 🌎✈️
We started the week with the SVSU in East Asia Panel on Monday, and then ate very delicious food from several countries at the International Food Festival on Tuesday.
Wednesday brought us a plethora of stories from study abroad alumni and current study abroad students at the Study Abroad Story Slam.
Friday was filled with fun. We had several students share their cultures with us through art, clothes, and more in Curtiss Hall. We then looked at all of the beautiful decorated doors following the theme of "Global Cities". Lastly, we celebrated birthdays in the month of November.
Thank you to everyone who made our International Education Week so beautiful. 🌎💙

International Education Week begins on November 11th and continues until November 15th. The Office of International Programs will host the following events:
Monday, November 11th: Keynote Speech and Faculty Panel, SVSU in East Asia- Highlights in International Partnerships. 7-8:30 p.m. Reception Emeriti Room, Curtiss Hall. (RSVP here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZFP6Z3H).
Tuesday, November 12th: International Food Festival. 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Marketplace at Doan.
Wednesday, November 13th: Study Abroad Story Slam. 4-5:30 p.m. Rhea Miller Recital Hall.
Thursday, November 14th: International Knitting Day. 4:30-6 p.m. Wickes 230 Conference Room (RSVP at the Office of International Programs)
Friday, November 15th: Global Cultures and Arts. 11 a.m-1 p.m. Curtiss Hall Lounge. & Global Office Door Decorating Contest announcing winners at 12 p.m.!

We had our first set of birthday celebrations on Friday, October 18. We got to celebrate Sandra and Rayeen's birthday, as well as some of our faculty! Look forward to your birthday month, as we will host these every month! Happy birthday to all of our International Cardinals born in October. 🎊🎉🎁🎂🎈
