📄 How to Build a Strong Student Job Resume
Your resume doesn’t need to be long—it just needs to be strong. Aim for one page that clearly highlights your skills, experiences, and potential.
Here’s what to focus on:
📌 Transferable Skills
Highlight skills you’ve built through classes, part-time jobs, clubs, or everyday responsibilities—like communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving.
🎓 Education
Include your degree, major, expected graduation date, and any relevant coursework, honors, or certifications.
🤝 Volunteer Experience
Even unpaid experience counts! Add community service, campus involvement, or leadership roles to show initiative and commitment.
📚 Class Projects
Don’t overlook your coursework—group projects, presentations, and research assignments can demonstrate real-world skills employers value.
📎 Reminder: All on-campus positions will require a resume, cover letter, and your class schedule to apply! Don’t wait—get prepared early! Schedule an appointment with Career Services to get started!
A strong student resume is less about what you’ve done—and more about what you’ve learned and what you can do next.
