The start of a new school year means that our annual Band Program Meeting is fast approaching! Join the WMS Band Directors TOMORROW at 6pm in the WMS Cafeteria for more information on all things BAND!

Eighth grade families are encouraged to bring their student’s concert black if it no longer fits— we will have our inaugural Concert Black Swap at the conclusion of the meeting.

Good morning, band family!

This is a courtesy reminder that our Back-to-School Band Camp registration closes this afternoon. If you have not already registered your student for this FREE camp, please do so soon! Camp runs from Wednesday, 8/5 to Friday, 8/7 from 5:30-7:30pm. Please note that students need to eat an early dinner or a snack before coming to camp, as there will be no food provided.

If your student is friends with other band students, please ask them to text their friends and encourage them to sign up for band camp. The more, the merrier! This camp allows us to move faster and accomplish more earlier in the school year.

Students need to bring their instrument, any necessary maintenance supplies, and a pencil to band camp. We will provide a new band binder for all students on their first day! Percussionists need to bring their pad, stand, and stick bag. We will work on mallets and snare this week.

We are excited to share our theme days for this year's camp! Please note that all theme day attire must remain in dress code.

Wednesday: Fun Socks + Crocs
Thursday: Dress Like Mr. Parrish Day (will explain on Wednesday)
Friday: Wayside Spirit Day

Good afternoon, band family!

We are one week away from our Back-to-School Band Camp. This is a friendly reminder that registration closes on Monday at noon. This camp runs from Wednesday, August 5 through Friday, August 7 from 5:30-7:30pm and is FREE!

Please note that this camp is for returning or new-to-Wayside students who have played an instrument for at least a year and not for incoming sixth graders-- we will meet them once school starts!
