It's back-to-school season, and we want to help SVSU alumni educators show off their Red Pride in the classroom! 🎒✏️

We're giving away 50 SVSU Alumni flags on a first-come, first-served basis, and once those are claimed, we'll keep the spirit going with SVSU pennants for everyone else who completes the form.

Complete the form by August 11th, and we'll mail your flag or pennant straight to you. We can't wait to see everyone's classrooms full of Red Pride!

Josh Kalandyk (‘18) received his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and is now a Process Engineer at Hemlock Semiconductor.

While at SVSU, Josh took advantage of the Career Services Office by participating in the Halla Mechatronics co-op, serving as a Mechanical Engineering Researcher, and completing an internship at Hemlock Semiconductor. When not focusing on his future career in engineering, Josh was a youth group volunteer at Hopevale Church.

Last year, alumni voted to renovate the SVSU observatory. That's the power of the Cardinal 100 Fund.

Here's how it works: 100 alumni donate $100 each, pooling together $10,000 for a student-led project. Each November, student groups pitch their ideas at the Cardinal 100 reception, and donors vote on their favorite. The winning group gets the full $10,000 to make it happen.

We are already over 60% to our goal! Just over 30 more to go before we hit 100 donors and find out what project will be funded this year.
