MYTH BUSTER: Security Ruins The Worship Experience!
When done correctly, security is almost invisible.
Thoughtful design, trained volunteers, and clear policies allow congregations to remain open and welcoming β while being prepared for emergencies.

Houses of Worship are meant to feel peaceful, welcoming, and sacred β not guarded or intimidating.
At INTEGRITY: Shooting & Consulting, we help faith communities prepare wisely without changing who they are.
Security should support worship β not overshadow it.

This is the BB gun I had when I was a kid (about 10 yrs old). It cost $15 at Kmart. I never once took it to school. I never took it out of the house. I never took it from where it was kept. It wasn't because I was afraid of getting in trouble at school. I wasn't afraid of someone thinking it was real. I wasn't afraid of the police thinking it was real. I was afraid of my parents and grandparents, because they told me 1 TIME! Not to take it outside without asking. I was afraid of what would happen to me if I disobeyed what they told me.
We live in a society of scapegoats, everything is someone else's fault, it's always because of guns, video games, movies, TV...etc. Parents just need to parent. Violent movies and games aren't new they have been around for a while, the problem is parenting has changed. Parents need to be parents and not friends.

Welp! Didn't see that coming but this is good stuff. This is holding people accountable. So many things went wrong and could have been avoided if the parents would have been just that...Parents! As a parent you know your child, as a parent they should have seen the signs well before the school called them. But even if they didn't after it was brought to their attention they failed to act. Them being charged with manslaughter is appropriate for their actions.
We have seen incidents around the country of kids being kicked out of school for biting a pop tart and making it look like a gun and for other foolishness, but this is not that.
